Driveshaft question!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys
so i did a auto to manual swap
and my car has abs
but i dnt remember if i have a abs driveshaft when i bought it.
When i drive my car i feel a little vibration in the rear kinda
and the master tech at nissan says he thinks i have a non abs driveshaft and might be what is causing a little vibration
so my question is
how can i tell the difference between a non abs and abs
5 speed driveshaft??
If it helps
the cover where the tranyy and driveshaft meet is off
maybe for fitting purposes?
Idk a guy did alot of the work for me
thnx guys =]

Hmmmm maybe comparing drive shafts? Side to side with a non and one with with.

I can tell you how to check if you abs or not but I'm sure that's not the case.

Either way I'm interested in this thread. I wanna know why your driveshafft is causing a vibration lol

Well the tech told me yes it seems like it needs to be balanced but because the second piece of the driveshaft
that conects to my did seems to not match the front hes saying it seems someone messed with the driveshaft before i bought it
so he said to keep from having any other problems i should buy another driveshaft that is abs forsure
and it would be balanced already most likely
i wanna do this sence im buying a new tranny sence my 5th gear syncro went out it wont go into 5th
so yeah figured id get a abs driveshaft too
but i wanna know what the difference in physical looks
so i know that im buying a abs driveshaft
i get confused
theres auto driveshafts manual driveshafts
uato abs manual abs
auto non abs manual non abs
its confusing haha
share
your knowleedge
thnx =]

Errr whata shit. Is there complications with the driveshaft/differentials entry points when switching from auto to manual? Either way it looks like you're getting a manual drive shaft, at least you got that down. And you say your car HAD abs, and as for that I'm not sure if there's any fab/moding needed in the differential area.

Maybe buy a drive shaft of here and start there.

Looks like you have homework to do

i really do not see why the driveshaft would be different due to abs. abs is a hydraulic braking system, it should have nothing to do with the driveshaft or differential.

i would try grabbing another driveshaft for about 40 bucks at a local yard, check to see that the knuckles dont have signs of being loosened. a manual driveshaft should be enough.

Thats what i always asked too
i didnt see what the diference would be
but i see everyone say
abs driveshaft for sale or
non abs driveshaft for sale so im guessing theres a difference
and well the master tech at nissan where i work told me that he didnt think i had the correct driveshaft
and thats says to me that there is a difference but i still havnt been able to find out what that is
