s13 power steering rack question

I'm trying to confirm if I have the lines to my power steering rack hooked up correctly. I've looked at the FSM and searched the forum and internet but haven't found a clear answer.

As you can see in the screenshot of the FSM below, #1 pipe is the low pressure side. Based on where the tie rod is, it looks like #1 is above #2 and further forward (toward front of car).

Below is a picture of my steering rack, taken from behind the driver front wheel. My low pressure hose is the one on the right which is higher than the high pressure but further back. Is this right? It seems that my steering rack has the ports in different locations but I could be misreading the FSM.
Thanks for the help!

The fsm isn't always the most correct when it comes to illustrations, as long as it works correct I wouldn't worry to much

It hasn't worked since I swapped in the 2JZ and trying to figure out why. During the swap, I also replaced the power steering rack. Trying to narrow down where the problem is - the pump, the rack, or how I hooked up the rack.

I think it is mostly trail and error with a problem like this
Find/borrow a working rack, that way you will find out if it is either the rack or pump.
Or if you are like me and don't really have any friends who either have s chassis or they don't drive, I would start with the cheapest option first

Bottom is high pressure from the pump, top is low pressure return to the reservoir.
