Went to a shop to get my jdm aero painted (f&r bumper, valences, k's spoiler) got quoted 1k. Does that seem about right, anyone?

Ok so im painting my s13 next weekend and prepping it all this week...I have a professional painter who is going to shoot it for me and I know how to do professional prep...how much paint though will I need to do the whole car...im on a tight budget so I don't want to buy more than I need...

Ill be shooting the compatible system primer myself...etching then any filler primer then sealer...then I figure a decent coat of base then a couple coats of clear...ill be gloss blacking the roof and a pillars so that wont be included in the base requirement

depends on the base and how its reduced but i dont think you need more than 3 quarts of the ready to spray mix. if you arent doing the underside of hood/trunk or the aero off the car to get the undersides 2 quarts ready to spray might do it. i usually spray more clear than base but thats up to you how many coats you want to do. maybe you could pay attention to how much primer you use and make an educated guess based off that also...hope that helps

I dont know if that Solar orange (A53) off the 07 350z or LeMans sunset (A17) from 03-06, but Im sure its one of the 2.

Look em both up and decide which you like better.

it says it's an e92 and i'm 99% sure it's an m3. i searched the bmw colors from that chassis/model and couldn't find anything close. i'm assuming its a custom color or from a different make...any input would be greatly appreciated.
