There was a Zenki on here for sale not too long ago that was Spruce Mica. It had CCW's and a I believe an Instant Gentlemens bodykit.

Cant seem to find the link but its a sick color. Post pix when its all done.

Don't chew me up....I have a question...I have a 97 240 and it has been repainted same color before...

Well I'm about to get ready for a 3rd repaint...plan on pulling all glass, fenders, doors etc....

My main question is the 2nd repaint chips at all the edges so I wanna take it all the way down to the original base...what grit sandpaper do you recommend to do this. I was thinking 320 for cutting it to original base. Any advice? I can provide pics if needed

I would use 180 to remove the 2nd coat of paint/clear.
320 to finish and prep for primer.

If you are planning to so bodywork and are going with a high build primer over the whole car anyway, than use whatever you like to remove the old paint. I'd go 120 on a DA then do some blocking with the same. Grind to metal for any bodywork, spray the entire car with a 2k primer, (etch where needed) proceed from there

House of Kolors sells neon basecoats, though they do not have one called luminous yellow. They have 2 versions of yellow though. I think luminous yellow is a powdercoat color name? the wheels I have seen in person called by that have been powdercoated. As for your other question, With neon color paint you want to put a bright white base on first. the neon is more like a candy mid-coat. Without white underneath it doesn't have the same blinding effect. Hope that helps a little. (a quart of HOK neon will do four wheels, or an engine bay)

hey, thanks for the informative reply hypercrush. im not in the USA to visit "the house of kolors" tho but alot of good info there. i bought these rims recently, clear coated them, i got a post up on how fast they really fade because on the rays website, they stated that they fade, no probs once it doesnt fade tooo quick lol even if i get a year b4 fading starts, that will be good. i gotta make a call to years soon to see if they will give me the color code or even self sell me some paint when i need it. im still waiting on some more replys for my other post on how quick they fade. kinda paranoid about these things lol.

if anyone got the color code tho, can you still post it? thanks.

Infinity J30 calipers

Infinity J30 calipers
Silver caliper paint from O'rRielly Auto Parts

I pick both of these units from a donor car at Wrench-a-Part in Belton, TX. These units cost me under $20, and when I pulled them off the donor car they were filthy-nasty! I pre cleaned them followed with a car wash. I painted them with two coats each, and I regreased the parts before assembling them. BTW, I am not that good of a painter.
