s13 240sx SMP Ignition Lock

Does anyone has experience with the SMP Ignition Lock from autopartsgeek on ebay ?

There is an aftermarket cylinder switch with no lock and looking to replace it
Also found a genuine OEM one in japan but that is from an RHD.
They look the same and can't imagine that they are different are they ?

SMP makes good parts for OEM replacement

For the ignition lock, I haven't seen one without the lock. To replace the whole setup you have drill out the two security bolts and install the new setup. The new bolts are made to break the heads off for security. Also means you will have a new key for your ignition.

You can also just replace the ignition part, held in by two screws at the end.

Ah sweet thanks
For some reason it has been replaced but only with the part on the 2nd photo you posted and that is also used to start the car

Tempted to just order a brand new ignition/lock/key set, only problems with that is that it doesn't come with the driver side lock as that is discounted, did find a seperate one on nissanparts tho
