Terrible pic, but my brother made this digital speedo for my HUD cluster using an arduino and uses GPS. I'll be picking up the stuff to make a second one and editing the code to mirror the letters so the the HUD also works. The cool thing about this is that when I want to I will be able to add water temp and oil temp/pressure to it. It uses C language so it's really easy to setup.

dang, thats pretty sweet. going to incorporate the mph km/h switch into it at all?

im jealous of these clean HUD gauges. mine looks like dook because it has a DOHC tach faceplate on there so all the hash marks get cut off and makes the LEDs look terrible.

Nice work on that. Hopefully in the next few months I will be able to add my dash into the mix. I am using an Arduino (haven't decided which, most likely a Mega, but considering the Due as well) with at least a single 7" touch enabled screen and a smaller screen or possibly 2 depending on how much room I have left on the dash. I'll be using an Arduino Shield and the CANBUS signals from my Link GTTLink to display realtime data on the dash for everything. My thoughts are that I can display all relevant information on the dash at one time, with the option to switch the smaller screens at the touch of a digital button and display ancillary systems on the fly.

The screens are industrial units with logic chips embedded to handle the display output, so they will handle the extreme temps of the interior without blacking out like a tablet or laptop will in the middle of summer.

Had some time to tinker on my S14 this weekend! Interior is basically complete minus a very THOROUGH cleaning! First shot is with my Tomei steering wheel installed. The remaining are with my new Vertex Hells Racing wheel installed!

Parts rundown:
Vertex Hells Racing 350mm Deep Corn w/ Horn (courtesy of Nostrildamus!!!)
Works Bell Quick Release
P2M Short Hub Adaptor
Tomei Short Shifter w/ GkTech Shifter Return Springs and Metal Bushing
Tomei Durecon Shift Knob
HKS Turbo Timer
HKS Fan Controller
Speedhut Oil Psi, Boost, and Oil Temp gauges in a Custom Broadfield HVAC Panel
(Thanks again Toby for the SUPERIOR craftsmanship!)

I cant believe I've never looked in this thread. There's sprinkles of cool shit every once in a while.

Serious question, that I haven't found in here yet. Can anyone recommend a very minimalist, low key, single din head unit? I'm trying to keep the interior looking mostly OEM but all the aftermarket head units look like a fucking Gravitron.

Only requirement is that it has bluetooth connectivity.

My interior, looking for some rhd mats but nothing cool and not overpriced yet so for now some cheap vatozone mats over the oem ones.

Any one have an idea how i could get the green film or ink off the dash lights?

I searched for answer but most of the threads were a couple years old so I'm wondering if something new has come out since then. What are your guys suggestions for a decent aftermarket carpet? I hear stockinteriors.com, 1aauto.com and accmats.com (which seems to be the most expensive) are all mentioned a lot but seem to have mixed reviews.

Any suggestions or input would be really helpful-Thanks

I've heard good things about stock interiors, they are form fit, but require some cutting and fitting on your end. They seem to only carry the hicas model carpet for s13's(dunno why).

Go with the OEM 180sx carpet. Can't go wrong and the material is better. Had it in my Vert and it fits like factory. The dead pedal hole won't be noticeable with floor mats.

Curious where you relocated the air con cluster/controls to. Just tucked over into glove box?

Im in the process of making a trio of old school omori gauges fit in my s14 and this looks like a sweet way to do it

Its just a led strip however its a little bit too bright for my taste. After installing a potentiometer it should be fine.
