If you follow the Speetek guys on Instagram, they're constantly posting up broken "CD009" transmissions. And they say guys in Australia are breaking them all the time even lower horsepower cars. Slightly concerning.
Meanwhile I just finished installing my second Mazworx SR>VQ bellhousing kit. This time I'm not going to part the car out before driving it though.. Maxworx SR>VQ bellhousing / JK41B (g37) trans. OsGiken TS2BD twin disc clutch/flywheel with specific bearing & sleeve. new oem SR fork, fork retainer clip and throwout clip, Nismo pivot ball. Ogura Racing adjustable clutch slave rod. |

Great thread! I have a S13 getting the royal KA-T swap + CD009 from a '05 (external slave) and while I don't have any questions yet, I would like to see more build pictures, especially KA, external slave and Maverick adapter plate

I'm not sure if it is posted somewhere in here but I recently used the Mazworx SR>CD009 bellhousing to convert a car. As a heads up DO NOT use the CD009 slave cylinder bolts on the conversion bell housing/SR slave cylinder. The CD bolts are a little longer and will interfere with the SR pressure plate.

Hello guys. So my car won?t roll when the engine is off and it?s in gear with the clutch pushed in. Using the maverick motor sports adapter kit with a stock s13 master and slave. Any thoughts? Going to use a 03 350z slave and see what happens

Did you figure this out? I'm not yet at the point of trying to drive but I've filled the clutch lines with fluid and fully bled but it seems like the throw out bearing doesn't push enough on the pressure plate... I may come across the same problem. Last edited by ph1tnessjunk1e; 09-06-2021 at 09:42 AM.. |

I ended up getting the sweet spot for the push rod adjustment. Likely your issue too. Just keep messing with the adjustment until it?s better

Not really a crazy idea. It?s been done before. Measure from output seal to pinion flange.

Also worth checking if a G35 coupe driveshaft fits. They use 2-piece shafts but you might be able to use just the front section with an S14 rear section.

I think Dakota Digital Released a one box easy wire for CD009 GPS Speed.
https://www.dakotadigital.com/index....rod/prd837.htm SPEED 2 is a sine wave signal for most older speedometers. Dakota Digital speedometers, and dash systems, can use either output. Based on the manual, I can set it to a 16K PPM signal..... https://www.dakotadigital.com/pdf/GPS-50-2.pdf Then I wire it to the cluster. Once I have the signal wire from the Dakota, do I just wire back into the speed sensor harness? I guess to where the sensor use to be which is on my KA24E harness, tranny harness Y/G wire?

Anyone else install the Mazworx VQ/SR bellhousing and using an OsGiken twin disc clutch? TS2BD if it needs to be specific.
The instructions say to machine 4mm off of the front of the sleeve that the slave cylinder slides on. I can't decide if I should or need to also machine off 4mm from the sleeve on the Mazworx bellhousing. They are about 1mm different in length... |

Neutral Safety Switch and Reverse Switch. Is there a such thing as positive negative? Trying to hook into my S13 SR lower tranny harness....
Right now the starter isn't cranking, just 1 click when I turn the key and nothing.... Battery is good and tested. Starter is 100% good because its new AND I had autozone tested. Switching out the Ignition Interlock / Relay, blue relay with two plugs on it in the passenger fender. Thinking its NSS? Thanks!

To be back on topic, I will be attempting to install the new dakota module directly into the factory speedometer wiring soon

The signal has polarity, so if it doesn?t work at first, switch the wires around.

Hey all, need some help. How would you know if the clutch throwout bearing is fully disengaged? I have a ORC twin plate and I was supposed to use a 18mm carrier sleeve vs the stock 24mm.
So how can i check full disengagement? Can I adjust the 6mm difference by changing the slave cylinder pin? Orc and the old 240zs had adjustable slave cylinder pins. Hoping I dun need to rip everything out again. Also are twin plates really loud? Definitely sounds like this. https://youtu.be/kSqsypA7e2g

If this helps anyone in the future twin discs most of the time will need a shorter carrier. ORCand OSG twins use a 16 to 18mm carrier and our stock sr is 24mm. If you didnt put one in and in my case i didnt, i just cut about 6mm off the slave cylinder pin, dont forget to account for the cutoff wheel thickness a bit... Now i can better see a small air gap. Just make sure to put slop in the pedal and open the clutch reservoir and push everything back a few times to make sure the pin is in resting position. The readjust everything back.
Now the clutch engages at 1/4 of the way up and not like 5/8 of the way up....

I know it is a little late but the throw out bearing collars are common discussion in the classic z forums. Nissan actually has several heights for the numerous versions of the FS Nissan transmissions. This is an example of some of the variations which may be helpful.
