Agx just installed problem help!!!

When i turn the wheel at low speed it pings and pongs, like coil is not settled, so we took it all apart again, and still does it, when happens at higher speeds, less frequent, itslightly moves direction of the car...my mechanic thinks its changing the adjustment of the struts, or the little clip piece in between coil and top plate is not staying locked. Anyone know what this is??

What do you mean by 'Agx'? Did you get coilovers or a strut / spring combo? If you have coilovers then the top hats are most likely seized which is what I went through with my Megan Racing coilovers. The noise is the spring binding up in the perch. You have to lube the pillow ball bearing with some anti seize and work it in there. Grease didn't work because it was too thin and broke down. Another thing, make sure your preload is set correctly on the spring (assuming you have coilovers). It takes a certain force from the spring in order to turn the coilovers at the bearing instead of the spring seat.

By the way, the pillow ball bearing is the bearing that you can see from the engine bay on the strut tower when you pop the hood.

Strut spring combo on the front. Thats where the problem is, KYB AGX struts, adjustable, must we take it completely apart again to no skid grease them like you were saying??

I don't have much experience with aftermarket struts specifically, but I think the issue is with where the strut mounts to the strut tower. You may have to loosen the three bolts on the strut tower to get access to the bearing, but you might also be able to leave everything bolted in. Just make sure the bearing at the strut tower is not seized or stuck in any way. Are your springs set to the correct preload?

your top spring perch is mounted incorrectly...I did this a few times orientation needs to be correct or it will hit the shock tower causing binding of steering and the noise described...sometimes you can get lucky by compressing spring and rotating it...I had to disassemble each time I had this happen
