Nissan DataScan I
Has anyone used it? My sr is acting a bit funny figured it might help me diagnose? Is it worth the 35 bucks or is it a waste of money?

It gives you the ability to set some of the CONSULT Active Tests like setting the base idle or temporarily adjusting the AFR and ignition timing, so it's more useful for diagnosis than just analog gauges or generic OBD software. You can run through the diagnostic trees in the factory service manual.
Don't forget you need an adapter/cable. I think you can buy this one direct from Taiwan,, otherwise they're all around $100. http://www.buyobd.com/index.php?main...products_id=35 |

I have one, but I guess my consult isn't properly wired up, so I ordered a new consult cable from wiring specialties that I'll just wire directly to the ecu instead of relying on the chassis harness and put the plug in my glovebox. Otherwise the software works and so does the tool. It comes with freeware which i've uploaded here.

I don't believe it came with a cable, but it's just an older style usb type a connector. the actual black box itself plugs into your consult. you need a usb type A-Male to Mini-B

Update. I bought the cable on amazon and I bought the software. By no means is this like some crazy high tech software, but it is very very helpful for diagnostics. I would highly suggest it. Give you realtime data with timing, rpm and such.
