SR20 STI 550cc injector pigtails question

had a quick question, so i went with the yellow 550 sti injectors (04-06), a friend had told me to order some denso connectors and put them in place of my stock injector clips. Problem is the ones i got do not fit properly. Wanted to know does anyone have a direct link where i can buy pigtails that will fit with no issue?

I purchased these for my 550cc yellows: https://motorwestperformance.com/product/c120-4pack-l1/

Work like a charm. No soldering and easy to switch back to stock (California ughhhh)

Why use pigtails ?

I have those on my sr20 and the only thing i did was a little trimming on the side of the injector and move the pins inside a little on an angle. And they fitted perfect .

why use pigtails? not sure i understand what you mean by that, from my understanding the connector to the injector with wires at the end would be considered an injector pigtail, no?

Another option would be the nismo 555cc injectors. Reasonably priced IMO

https://www.ebay.com/itm/4x-OEM-NISM...VY-Bdn&vxp=mtr

No dicking around with other pigtails or soldering into injector harness...
Just plug, tune, and dori

literally you can't mess up the wire order. you can reverse it and they work fine. an injector is just a switch. on. off. doesn't matter which end gets power and which end gets ground.

oh ok no worries, well trimming the injectors i'd imagine they don't clip in place and can possibly pop off, definitely want them secure. either way clips came in yesturday going to get them on this weekend finally and should be able to get the car started

What? JECS is an OEM. They make the Nissan / Nismo / Tomei / HKS sidefeed injectors. Your STI injectors are JECS too.

sorry said that wrong, i mean the cheaper aftermarket jecs injectors have been known to be 50/50. also heard (not sure if true or not haven't personally dealt with this) but some injectors are labeled via ebay as jecs oem and aren't, i only really trust oem injectors i know pulled from a vehicle. seems like if the price is cheap enough on ebay they could be oem looking replica injectors. Either way got the injectors i need

What injector latency do you use with the STIs? I have a hard time believing that the latency is 1050uS for 550cc.

Also, you cannot beat the price of Yellows, for 120$ you have superior quality injectors with brand new adapter pigtails.

Gotcha. Calling them "aftermarket jecs" isn't quite accurate though. Those eBay ones for $150 clearly are not JECS, but rather some other aftermarket brand. It's damn near impossible that they're OEM quality for that price.

And then there are re-drilled injectors like Five-0 and Deatschwerks. They either start with a stock JECS or other injectors and drill out the tips for more flow. The quality and resulting spray pattern are often garbage.

thanks for clearing that up, my term was wrong i think i meant to say redrilled, someone told me to stay away from those. And you are right for how cheap that price was sounds too good to be true and it usually is. I just had a fresh engine rebuil, spent a pretty penny don't want any failure due to re-drilled injectors. I've heard bad stories. Either way got my injector clips in put them on yesturday and they fit just fine.
