I own a Nissan S12. It had a RB20DET until two days ago. Ripped that thing out and prepping the car for yet another engine... it's 4th. RB26DETT. And I guess I'll be posting a pic of my car in yet another thread.

Im brandon from cleveland and jus bought a black s14 95 240sx today. Love the car and recently discovered after running the vin# that it is a "goldmember" edition. I do not know much about what exactly that means except it has a lot of options and they're pretty rare. If anyone could tell me more info on what a goldmember 240 is that would help a lot. thanks

love to going to different car shows.
i help to work on a mitsu gst but i have the
“hots” (lol) for nissans, in particular the 350z and the 240. I’m looking to get out of my daily beater (not the GST, she is staying!) and while I really want a 350z, they are really expensive here in ny and the insurance is killer. So I’m looking around for a 240 se (hope the insurance will be better priced) ((97 or 98 i think would suit my tastes))
Other then that, im a no nonsense , no drama chic. Maybe you all can teach me a thing or two about what I should look for! Be nice!


***update: super happy! finally got a 240sx le edition ! its a 95 with 46,000 original miles on it. black and super clean. i got lucky to find this baby! hope to have photos up soon!!!

im new to this nissan game..im a honda guy. but soon to be a nissan guy as soon as i can sell my honda to get a 40...im lookin for an s13 coupe..i know about the rust spots on the car.. so.. i kno what to look for..but the main reason this thread is open cause..all my friends that have 240s..has sr20s..they are tellin me to build a ka-t..or go rb...i dont know what to do. im not worried about money.. but if it will cost more than 5k to get a motor put in.. im not doin it.. or if it will cost a ka-t about 5k im not doin it niether im just gonna go with an sr20.. BUT my friends tell me that sr20s have problems..not big ones..but dumb lil shit..that are pain in the ass..i just want more info on each motors..and whats the best motor to invest in..im goin for drift...im a newbie..but i gotta start somehow..if u guys can post links of pros and cons of each motor..that will be great...thanx

Whats up! The names Josh. I live up in Maine. I own a 93 satin black 240 coupe. Nismo struts, S-tune springs, OBX headers, Random technology cat, Megan type 2 black turbo back exhaust 3", XXR 962's(35 wide front 55 wide rear) Weapon-R Secret Weapon intake, Silvia front end conversion, Smoked tails, Sparco seat -w- Nismo 4pt harness, Nismo shift knob, Welded diff and gutted back seat area. I have a SR20DET Ive been building for the last year I plan on dumping into my car at some point soon. It's been bored 30 over, complete port/ polish, Eagle rods, Wiseco pistons, Titanium bearings, Cometic head gasket, ARP head studs, Brian Crower Valves, Bronze valve guides, Brian Crower Valve springs, Brian Crower Stage 2 cams, Greddy rocker arm stoppers and new OEM lifters for now. Plan on running 300rwhp for a while then makeing the jump to about 400rwhp. Though the engine is built for much more, it will be good not to stress it out. I've also recently baught a 95 S14 that was rotted out pretty bad and its getting 14g steel replacements welded in as we speak. That will go KA-T eventually for fun but will be my daily driver.

Hey what's up all,my name is Aaron, and I'm very new to the whole nissan scene. I've been through quite a few cars and I'm 27 years of age. My newest project is an ultra red zenki s14. I'm located in NJ, and I'm trying to get to know some of the other 240 owners around here. This will be the first engine i've built personally. My other car is an 04 rx8. It's been modded slightly, but I really need to find something a bit more tuner friendly, so awhen a chance came along I jumped on an s14. It's my fav body style of the 240sx. I was in junior high when the 180 came out so i missed out. trying to make up for lost time I suppose.

In the military and stationed in okinawa, japan as of right now for another half year. I own an s13 89 body style with a 94 sr20det engine out of a 180sx. I plan on shipping all my engines back home once I'm done with my tour. Back home will be georgia where I plan on setting up a few cars and getting into the drift scene. I signed up to meet some people and get the hook up when I get back to the states and anything else that comes up from there.
