Wow...what is going on lately. All of the big horsepower drag cars on this site are being parted out. It almost seems like we are a dying breed. Good luck with the Corolla Santos.

well the corolla has a lot of history with us. my dad got the car from a friend whos dad was the original owner back in 94, i learned a lot of my mechanics. simple otor set up back then on NOS. he sold it and bought back seveal times over the years last it went in 02 to South Carolina then sold again to a friend in vegas who has had it fron 05. I went to pick it up 3 weeks ago and me and my brother will be putting it back together with a cheap budget build then go bigger later.
with the NOS set up with my dad weighed 1850lbs. with what we are putting in , it will be around 550-650whp so it will really move.

lighter is better and i could use the cash for upgrades for my house so its a win win for me.
i will be selling my motor/trans. ECU and twin disc already been bought so i have my trans, trans adaper, block and head to sell.
im keeping my 6266 and injectors for the Corolla.

I love drag and i will always be in it one way or another. at least the car will actually be just a few blocks away from me lol. they will be putting in a 2.2 SR in it so the extra power will move the car every well plus a serious transmission along with it.
so i will focus on my house, Corolla and fabrication stuff on the side maybe more equipment.

I'm interested in the cams and springs if they are for sale.

Good luck with the new ride. I'll keep this thread alive.

My Precision turbo is on the way. I should be going within a month. 450whp on pump out of the garage. "fuel" and a big boy tune are soon to come.

S@ntos Good luck with the Corolla. I think it was a smart decision to keep the Corolla over the 240sx....though I love the 240sx (dont start stoning me to death peepz). Keep us posted on any progress.

Santos, or all of you on here that are using a z32 trans, what kind of transmission mount bushing are you using?

Quick question for those who run 15" drag wheels...

Do they clear the Z32 TT rear brakes?

Also, would a 15x8 with 4.5 back spacing + 275/60/15 MT Outlaw fit under a rolled/pulled fender for an S14?

A friend told me that Duy is running 15x10 6.5 back spacing, but IIRC he has fender flares and the tires are poking out a bit.

Anyone?

I forgot to add:

Is anyone running this setup on their race car?
http://zilvia.net/f/brakes/488474-du...ets-stock.html

I need all the stopping power I can get when I have high speed runs without big wheels and big brakes.

Currently running EVO X fronts, but if everything works out I'll be on six pot fronts before TX2K13.

Spiderlone- I hope your bringing some serious heat if you're messing with 1200hp cars at the mile.

Swag- you don't have to do anything to your head, but it sounds like you need to explore your options. Unless you plan on going big turbo and working the head I don't think you should drop the money for more displacement. There are more efficient ways to spend your money depending on your budget.

Thanks. I thought about that, I bought a peak performance mount a year ago and finally got around to installing it on the trans and it won't fit the mazworx cross member. Z1 performance seems to make a very nice solid mount, and this car is definitely not a daily driver by any means.

no need to have dual rears stock rear is fine. as for the front a dual pot is plently. we have stopped 150+ on stock brakes without the chute. good fluids, pads are key. your current Brembos are plently.
I was at Tx2k12 in march had a good time there

PS: Duy also has some fender work and trimming (I believe) to have the 15x10's out back look stock with a 28" tire.

The Rims design will play a huge part on whether or not they fit in the rear of the s14 chassis with z32 calipers. I know for a fact most will require a spacer in the rear due to the larger caliper design.

RaceStar Industries has a 92 DragStar wheel that does not require spacers. I am leaning towards a 15x9 with a 6.5 bs (seems to be the money shot) over the 15x10 since everyone that I have spoken to has had a very very tight fit with the 15x10s.

I am shooting for some Hoosier QTPs 27x11.5x15 or 27x10.5x15 for my setup.

What power goals are you looking at.

Realistically, around 920WHP-1000WHP to play with on the streets when the time comes.

Shooting for over 1150+WHP on the dyno day if the spray is installed in time + 7675 + 280/280 cams.

Right now, I'm on 260/260 Tomei Poncams + 7175 .81 with supporting mods.

Premiere Performance has given me the courage to stick with the R33 five speed since their drag S14 is holding up pretty well, or so it seems on the videos.

Later in the future, maybe the Getrag six speed or Powerglide.

Then you will need something in the 15x10 range and a 28" tire. I would speak to Ben Freed, Duy, TRC, and Sound Performance who just put together a 1000+whp 240sx. Not too many guys at that range. Most people including myself will be nowhere near that range.

Just an opinion, look at the GSC S3 cams. Keep us posted on the progress.

Mine gave up DD awhile ago as well, however, I have enough harmonic noise transferred to the cab from having spherical bushings in my uprights. I don't need, nor do I want more. Vibrations and rattles drive me insane.

Finally found a good deal on some front draglites. My front setup is a wilwood dynalite 11" rotor. Basically the exact same as a Z32 front brake setup. Wheels are 15x5, I think these would fit with a 20mm spacer but since I have extended studs the studs stick out past the spacer and hit the back of the wheel. I had a 25mm bolt on and 10mm slip on laying around so I slipped the 10mm on then bolted the 25mm spacer over it, still plenty of thread contact. They fit pretty good on my setup with the 20mm over fenders but I still think you would be alright on stock fender S13's.

Rear is a 15x8 5.5"bs with a 26x10.5x15. With a good roll and pull on the fenders.

Going from my 17x9 255/40 and 17x10 275/40 Work Equip street wheels/tires I dropped 70lbs going to this setup. I would like to replace the front 24x7.5 Hoosier Pro Street radials with a 26" MT ET front and drop another 20ish lbs. Have to see if I run across a good deal on them.
