NISTUNE QUESTION. 1996 Ka24de engine vs the rest ?
Searched the forums and cane up with no good results.
There are two different nistune type 4 boards available. One is the standard type 4 board http://www.nistune.com/equipment-products-type4.php The other is a type 4 dual rom board. http://www.nistune.com/equipment-products-type4dual.php According to nistune the dual rom board is for 1996 ka24de ONLY and the regular nistune type 4 board is for 1995 only... and a bunch of other engines. (sr20 rb25..etc) My question is WHY ! What are the differences between the 1995 and 1996 ka24de. or even the 1996 vs 1997 ka24de. sensors, harness, what? Why is the 1996 singled out for the type 4 dual rom board? Whats the difference ! BTW. I have a type 4 dual rom board for sale. 1996 ONLY (apparently). It came with a turbo kit I bought from a friend. Here is what its tuned for: Z32 MAF 550cc injectors bottom mount blow through set up Let me know what you guys think |

I think tunes don't care about bottom or top mount, but they do care about the turbo model and boost level.
I also think there is a "for sale" section. |

1995 is obd1
1996 is obd2 it most likely has to do with the board in th eecu itself and the way its setup. you could just get a 1996 ecu and put your board in it and it will plug right in to your 1995 harness if i remember correctly |
