Is there a difference between s13 and s14 rear spindles? I have a set in my garage but can't remember what they're from lol.

Please help,
I've looked and searched for days and hours. I got an s14 with stock ka, however the idle is very high and rough. Usually when Im driving and come to a stop light the car will idle at 1700k and will not drop. Same thing when i turn it on, it goes right up to 1700k and stays there. Also when im driving around 2k-3k the car loses power and starts to stutter and buck as if it was not receiving fuel. I've checked for vacuum leaks, checked the fuel pump as well(ordered a walbro 255), cleaned the Maf sensor, recently did a tune and nothing. I was gona be cleaning the throttle body and IACV, also the engine harness and connections are very oily and dirty so I was thinking of cleaning that as well. Question is what else can i look for? and also when i clean all this parts do i use carb cleaner? and with the wiring can i also use carb cleaner? Im gona clean everything and see the results.
thank you everyone, any comments, questions, complaints are highly appreciated!

-Was also thinking about replacing the coolant temp sensor.

Just use the diagnostic mode by turning the screw on the ECU. Otherwise you'll be stuck hunting down all of the CONSULT stuff, which won't be useful for any other car. Unless you're ultimately going to run Nistune, I wouldn't recommend it. That said, you'll need a CONSULT to USB adapter and some kind of software.

Okay I'm not yet ready to accept that my VLSD is going bad that it's turning into an open.

I've googled searched and nothing really satisfied what I need to know. I'm running 75/90 redline gear oil in my diff but its not really locking and I don't remember if I used GL-4 or 5 but when I searched some are saying use GL-4 while others say use GL-5 and some say use the additive and some say don't since its already a closed unit and does not need it. I'd like to put this to rest. Should I be using GL-4 or 5 and do I need the LSD additive? I'm also going to be switching up to 80/90

So as I was driving today I heard a loud clunk. Saw a bunch of smoke coming out from behind and eventually a lot of clunking coming from the rear end.

When I pulled over to take a look at it, I saw smoke coming out from my diff it seems like. I had a welded diff and it's all clunky now, I'm going to just guess that I broke the welds on it. Would that be a safe assumption?

And I am about 25 miles away from my house, how safe would it be to drive it home? Or am I better off just getting it towed on a flat bed tonight? Was thinking of pulling the diff out tomorrow but was gonna see if a shop can get it on a lift and just reweld the gears together.

How plausible is all of this?

if it's your diff....then eventually one of those welds may get stuck inside, and lock it up (my buddy had it happen on the freeway. Instant drifting on the HWY).

Drive slow if it's worth it to you. 25 miles is a ways away.

Ok so i installed my coils. After i got done i noticed my camber became different in the front, like this and yes the offsets and tire size is the same, what im wondering is if i get my car aligned with they fix all the camber and make both the same because it looks like my passenger side has positive camber? any input is greatly apperciated. (hope the pics help explain what im trying to get at.)

drivers side

passenger side

did you adjust the camber plates on top...
did you make sure the 2 bolts on the bottom mount were equal pushed in/out when you tightened them on.

You don't have to reinstall them to adjust the camber plates. And if you were to get an alignment (which I recommend to make the car feel great) they will set the camber back to what you want it at. On both wheels, evenly.

If the camber plates are even then check that the top bolt on the lower mount of the coilovers is pushed all in or all out as evenly as the other side.

Some coils don't have slots. Some just have holes that are even. And some are just holes that are offset. So that's not always the issue. When you lower your car, the toe gets affected as well, so that might have an impact on how it looks.
