Whys everyone think the 1J is torqueless? They're badass motors. Look up Driftwerks 1J'd R32. GT30, stock motor, 550whp/555tq. Yea.... no torque at all.... lol
My plan was Drift Motions 57 trim Turbo kit, 264/264 cams, and 20psi. Aaron (dude who owns the site) quoted me 500whp @ 20psi with cams full boost at 3800. Revving out to ~8k. 4k power band? Ill take it. |

Not saying they are torqueless at all. Just that 2J and RB's seem to make more.
But I did ditch my RB for a 1j because they make power for less money. |

Stock boost RB25 on 255's. un-tuned. The torque was great.

did you ever get it on a dyno?
mine just got tuned with a power fc and made 240whp at .7 bar before the injectors maxed out. Does that sound right? It was on a dynapack though so i guess thats about 280hp on a dynojet, but i've read a million times that the rb should make 300hp with stock everything and upped boost... |

I'm worried about the crossover pipe being as low as I am. Any ideas on where it should cross under the tranny/driveshaft?
Stock they are pretty sweet, too. Rode in my buddy's 1j'd mkiii. Pretty fucking quick for a completely stock motor. Although, my stock redtop kept up with him lol. |

Old picture, but here is my J.
Stock, with 3" turbo back, fcd, 15psi. I love it. Was so close to buying a rb25 but decided to do 1jz because jz motors were always my favorite. And I love how they sound.

I didn't realize you were in the KC area, I thought you were from Chicago or something. Anyways, me and a friend or two might make it out depending on funds.

So i just got my uras kit for the zenki. I guess the stock usdm bumper lights wont work with it. Anyone know if theres any other lights that i can buy? Do i have to get the dmax brand ones? Or can i just scope up the ones like the dmax ones of ebay?
