WHEELS:
F: Sportmax 006 17x9 +20
R: Sportmax 006 17x9 +20 (+12 with 8mm spacer)

TIRES: Hankook H105 215/40/17 all around

MISC DETAILS: KYB GR2 Struts all around, Eibach sportlines all around, Ichiba 45m extended studs all around, Muteki SR48 extended lug nuts all around

PURPOSE OF CAR: street/ daily driver

any info would help thanks
No spacer in rear, 255/40/17 most likely all season since just daily/street.

You should have no problem rubbing anything, you have gr2s all around and sportlines, it should all fit.

Yeah what Sic said offsets etc....looks like stock fenders so we're guessing at least a roll at minimum. I'm guessing your setup is FN01 18x9 +20 ish and 18x10 +15 ish on Falken RT-615. What coilovers are you running? Camber, toe, caster settings also? C'mon we demand more info!! Looks like a killer setup.

thanks! fronts are 17x9 +35 with a 15mm spacer. rears are 17x10 +25. fenders are rolled, maybe a slight pull also. front tires are rt615's rears are ze-912's. alignment settings are unknown.

i used to have rt615's all around. the ziexes stretch quite a bit more

Hey I'm looking for wheels once I finish my s13 coupe. Here is my concern, It will be 600+RWHP from the single turbo 2jzgte.

I have cut the factory fenders and have a 50mm rear overfenders. I have seen some 335/30/18 drag radials. This car will be for Pretty much strictly drag racing and freeway racing. I'm assuming I will have to run atleast an 11'' wide tire in the back but what offsets would work?

If you look back a few pages there was a discussion as to what width and offsets would fit. An offset calculator was also posted. If you cross reference the two you can get an idea of what would work.

Once you get that far you can ask about a specific setup.

I think those are the important posts. You'd be surprised how much rubber will fit under stock metal.

Especially if you run a high-offset wheel. S-Chassis' have tons of inner clearance in the rear.
An 18x10 +44 with a 275 just barely clears coilovers in the rear, and thats on slightly rolled stock fenders.
If you have 50mm overs you an easily run a wider tire, use the calculator to figure out the width/offset of an ideal wheel.

Thanks for the links, they helped alot!

Ok so tell me if i'm doing something wrong. Max backspace on the rear of the s13 is 172mm-178mm. Max frontspace for the rear is about 95mm+ my 50mm overfenders so that gives me 145mm.

Running an 18x10.5 wheel with +15 offest with 315/30/18 wheels would give me a 161mm backspace which fits. max backspace plus max front space plus overfenders would give me somewhere near 320mm. So a 315 would fit if I'm not mistaken and a 335 would not?

PLease let me know if I made any mistakes ( I most likely did)

Finally a guy that can use a calculator... I'm so proud. tear.

From my max rubber post (max backspace is about the same on both s13 and s14)
MAX backspace Front~ 150-159mm
MAX backspace Rear~ 172-179mm

Max Frontspace with stock fenders with R+P:
S13 Front 95-105
S13 Rear 80-95

With regards to the front space: the Max listed above is for a roll and pull on stock fenders. If you're going to be adding overfenders you should use the smaller front space amount and add your overfender size to that, because the overfenders can't really take advantage of the space provided by a roll and pull because they usually mount too high. So with 50mm overfenders on the rear of your s13 lets call the front space at 80 (not 95) plust the overfenders 50 gives you a

front space of 130
backspace of 172 (just to be safe)
total 302mm

and you could probably get away with a 305, but you want to run a wheel that wastes 11mm of your possible backspace (161 vs 172)...

This would bring you down to
front space of 130
backspace of 161
total 291mm

You'll be fine on the inside no matter what tire you run. But it looks like you'll probably run into the fender with anything wider than a 295. If the overfenders aren't installed yet you might be able to get a bit more than the advertised 50mm out of them and run your 305s or 315s. But If they are already installed to look flush and not bulged I think you're going to be in trouble over 295s.

disclaimer: of course not all 295 tires have the same section width. the same size tire can vary by almost an inch between manufacturers. plus not all overfenders are created or mounted the same so there is definitely a fudge factor built in here. That being said... If you're set on those wheels, try the 295 or smaller first.

Thanks for the input! Really clears some things up! I have not yet installed the overfenders. I am cutting the stock fenderings roughly 2 inches all the way around. Thanks for the help!

I havn't done the fender work on my front yet (partly because I'm considering adding 1.5" - 2.2" to the lips on my 17x9 +22 halibrands that are a special design to clear mustang cobra brakes. Here's the drivers rear with a 17x10.5 +27 halibrand cobra IIIs with 275 40 17 falken 615s. These have been posted elsewhere, but here ya go.

I thought this looked good, but I pulled it a bit more to just to be safe. Rubbing at speed = BAD

The Ohlins are almost double the diameter of the stock dampers, but there's still plenty of room to spare as long as the spring perches aren't too low.

Almost an inch clearance to the LCA

They prefer to add the width to the back side of the wheel, but can add to the lip, it just costs more because the cosmetics take more work. Cost is about $150-200/wheel for backside.

But considering that you can pick up these for $331 ea...

[quote=SicBastard;3092534]From my max rubber post (max backspace is about the same on both s13 and s14)
MAX backspace Front~ 150-159mm
MAX backspace Rear~ 172-179mm

Max Frontspace with stock fenders with R+P:
S13 Front 95-105
S13 Rear 80-95

I might agree with your findings about backspacing but
are you really suggesting that lower offset rims should be used on front of s13(assuming same width rims all around)?

More Frontspace = Lower Offset

You have that backwards. The lower your offset for a given wheel size the less frontspace you have.
