ok guys i need tire recommendations and sizes for 17x9.5s. its a set of cheap camaro wheels im picking up until i can get something else. I dont really want too much of a bulge and i would like to run the same size tires all around for rotation. im thinking 265/35s all around, but what are some tire recommendations for good side wall sizing?

One of my all time favorite coupes (belonged to YucA http://zilvia.net/f/member.php?action=getinfo&u=27650 before it was stolen awhile back)
^^This coupe is beautiful...love to see wide, grippy tires tucked under the fender!

Yeah, I've been watching craigslist for some cheap mustang wheels. Haven't found any yet, but I was pretty sure the Camaro setup was different!

I would really like to pick up a set of those Mustang bullet wheels in 18's with the black face and polished lip.

Yes, I partially agree.
Smaller sidewalls in 15" in wide sizes are so hard to find that I had to stretch 225s on front.
265/50 for rears finally doesn't hurt too much.
The 255/45 do exist (for fronts) but are ridiculously expensive and hard to find.
And for rears I could run 285/40 but it's about the same problem.

wheel fitment

I am looking at running a new setup on my S14.
Would 18x9 +24 in Front, 18x10 +22 in Rear sit flush under a stock body?

Im somewhat familiar with fitment but looking for a little help on this. Thanks!

As usual, depends on tire size and coilover/caliper clearance. Because of the sizes you are asking about, I'm assuming you are going with a Mustang rep setup, possibly Bullitts, and if so, you will need a 5mm spacer to clear the coil springs/lower collar. Brake caliper clearance will be fine, and with those sizes, a 235/255 stagger would sit flush with rolled fenders.

Thanks for the reply. Im running GT wheels at the moment because i got them for free and have a decent stance compared to SE's. I found some 18" Replica Saleen wheels really cheap and was thinking of running them until i get the setup i really want. Thanks for the info!!

This is what Im running now:

17x9 +22 255/40/17, this year I'll be running a 10mm spacer with "20mm" over fenders... I hate these origin/vs fenders by the way.

Thumbs up MAX tires

I am trying to see if 17x9 +15 with 245/40/17 front and 17x10 +25 with 275/40/17 will fit stock s13 coupe without fender modification. (I am aiming for tires flush with fender, not tucked and zero camber due to daily driving.)

Is anyone running this?

I've looked around here and found a someone running 17x10 +35 with 275/40/17.

post #1412 here:

http://zilvia.net/f/chat/166563-maxi...thread-16.html

I have not found any 245/40/17 with 17x9 +15 wheels though.

I plan on running a 9in +15 with a 255/40/17 up front and I'm sure it will take a good amount of pulling to get it to fit properly.

Those Gt wheels don't look to shabby. Aren't they 17 X 8's?? Do you know if they happen to clear 300zx calipers?

Thumbs up calling for s13 with 17x9 wheels? What is the largest tire w/out fender modification?

Even if I do not lower the car to the point of tire tucking? What is the largest anyone here has ran up front on a 17x9 wheel on a S13 with stock fenders (or with minimal roll)?

I appreciate the feedback 1wheelwonder.

Thanks so far...

im sure its POSSIBLE to run a 265 or even higher,

but your fitment would have to be so perfect, and you would need camber, so it wouldnt be worth the effort

just go with a 255

quick question. im sick to death of blowing my tires off every time i touch the gas pedal. i cant afford to have "sick fitment" or any of that shit, i just need some tire. i am in desperate need of rear tires, and am currently on 17x8" wheels, running a 225/45 on it. im very close to buying some 275/40 ecsta XS's from tirerack. any input? i am to the point where i dont care how it looks, i just want to go somewhere when i hit the gas. took this the other day with the boost controller turned off:
YouTube - just a quick 1-2 pull from the passengers POV.

it was fun at first, but now it's annoying.

Too many cars that could be fitment whores... I thought this was the maximum tire thread!?.. a 245 or a 225 is not a max tire on a 10" rim... BLAH...
