So i just got my oem silvia aero a couple days ago and i couldn't be happier with it but i do have some fine details i was hoping to improve on it. There is a small gap below the passenger side headlight that I am trying to get rid of. The only thing that I can think of is to shave down the plastic where the headlights bolt to the silvia headlight brackets, to change the angle that the headlight sits. Just wanted to see if anyone had a better idea.

i had same problem and just drilled out the mounting holes a little bigger, then adjusted accordingly and tightened down

Why would anything oem need to be shimmed....

I thought the same thing which is why i was hesitant to shave things down

Something must be bent, broken, or sagging. Find that and fix it

Loosen the four bolts that hold the bumper support, then try to push up on the support as you tighten it down. That should help remove some of the sag.

In other news, your car is looking like a nice build. Just get a gtr grill for it.

Thanks for the complement, yeah the cars come a long way but i actually like the silvia grill better imo

just curious how much did you pay for your front?

The bumper was the most expensive part paid just shy of a grand but I had my mind set on this bumper for awhile, so when I finally found it I jumped on it.

because the car and aero is around 20 years old, things don't stay perfect forever. Its a fact of life, titties sag and bumpers sag as they age.

this is worthy of a signature. lol

OP, just push up on the bumper support, my K bumper had the same issue and all I did was loose up the bumper support, push up and tighten it down. sag fixed.

It doesn't really seem to me like its sagging its more like the angle that the headlight is sitting is causing the gap. I'm going to have to pull out a level see what is off.

Okay so its not sagging titties, just lop sided tittes. Grab a ruler and take some measurements from the rad support to see if both headlights are aligned the same, if not, make some adjustments. Shim it or whatever. Look at where everything gets bolted to as well, make sure its not bent or worn out.

I see ya finally got your bumper! My front did that when I first put it on, one of my headlight brackets was bent, but yah just gotta loosen bolts and move things around everything should line up fine.... That's if the car hasn't been in any kind of fender bender, also, does you car have AC? I had to notch a little bit of the headlight bracket in the passenger side because one of the metal AC line and everything sat perfect

Yeah man finally got the bumper after much searching. Don't have a/c though, gotta love that cali heat
