SR Valve clearance on SR20

The cams I was planning on running are backordered on every website (BC 272 deg. 12.55mm lift)

I really dont want to sacrifice power, so I was looking at some jim wolf cams on enjuku (285 deg. 13.36mm lift https://www.enjukuracing.com/product...5-sr20det.html). Would this be too much lift? Im just concerned because it is a heap more than stock. I have wiseco 9:1 compression pistons. Also would this be overkill? Im planning for this build to be a track/street car, so I still would like a bit of mid/low range power, but mainly high end. shooting for around 600whp.

Thanks for any responses

Personally, those cams are a little over kill for anything shy of a full out race car. C2’s or S4HL’s will be sufficient. I’d lean more to the S4HL if you haven’t upgraded valve springs, as they are designed to run factory springs.

Also, Net lift does not have to be the highest possible you can find. Cam duration has a larger effect on power production. Take 2jz’s for instance, most of them have sub 10mm lift cams and still make 800-1000whp.

Have a good read through this article, lots of extremely valuable Sr20det valvetrain details here you?ll need. SR20det Cams with dual guide shims
As you go more aggressive with lift you?ll need to consider solid lifters as the hydraulic lifters will fail. You?ll also want to run a dual guided shims to help keep the valvetrain together/not throw a shim out.) taking your time to set the valve lash/ensure the rocker arms are flat is KEY!
