I spent about $160 on the clear cover. Got them here in zilvia. Good enough for me. Beam pattern sucks but not too bad.

I looked into the clears from final konnex. but it was just a little bit too much for me considering you just get the cover AND theres tons-o-"do it yourself" work to do when it comes time to do the retrofit. But ya, the clears w/ projectors are def. sekushiii.

AWESOME!
Do you just buy the switch and wires and hook it up?
How much did you get the switch for?
Is there any re-wireing/ splicing needed?

buy some spray clear and some 1000 grid sanding paper...sand them down and and spray clear on it and they look brand new again...you just have to sand them down ALL they way to go get a good look...they wont look good untill you spray them and let them dry...total cost is like 12 bucks!!!!!!! and spend that money to some eles you really neeed and not what you think you need...

Not that bad in comparison to what? You dont have anything to diffuse and direct the light properly, so you dont have a beam pattern. Might as well do what Russ says and tape 2 mag-lites to the front of your car, because its pretty much the same thing. But I guess its not that bad. Dont forget to take it one step further and install an HID kit, because really.. its not that bad.

Your car doesnt have flash-to-pass. Thats not a high beam, its called a patch-fix.

No... just no.

the dual filament low beam functions as the high beam also. with the single filament hid, i no longer have high beams. the aim control give me high beams. the patch-fix light is adjustable separately and i have them angled down as fogs.

I think it's matter of your budget. if you got money to buy them, buy them or just clean lenses often. but yeah it's good to invest your money on zenki glass headlights

Why don't you just duct tape a couple of these to the bumper of your car?

Amazon.com: Black and Decker VEC192 20 Million Power Series 3335 Lumens Spotlight: Home Improvement

I mean, why not? 20 Million candle power > HID
Just point them towards the ground for low beams, and then tilt them back up for high beams. Fuck, turn them around so you can super bright back up lights too.

You'll be the coolest, smartest, most frugal minded car modifier EVER.

you mean to tell me that when you turn the light switch to the ON position that your lights actually turn ON? amazing.

DOT has requirements set as to how each light on the vehicle should operate. its been discussed already and someone already posted a link as to how and why rebased HID retrofit kits are illegal.

so your gripe is simply about having hids? with the glass headlights, even the silverstars are kind of dim. and according to your statement, everybody should run a stock ka since turbos and swaps are illegal?

If you still want some headlights dude, I'm in the UK, but have 3 spares, so could send them over if you like. All glass headlights, no cracks etc.

Just cover the postage and you can have them.

Massive help I find. Some people over here wire them up so when they use their full beams, they come on with them.

I would have thought so, mine came with white bulbs already in them.

I'm after some yellow ones, I have white ones at the moment.

Not sure what you and Yarm talking about but Zenki fogs come yellow (they have a cap inside bulbs aren't yellow)

well bc ur jus in school and arent doin too much i say polish the hell out of ur lenses and clear and polish the clear completely smooth but if ur up for some fun i took a 300zx projector and retrofited it in the high beams and used ddm tuning hid's and actually had the hid's for the factory zenki high beams but i slightly modified the projector to accept my hid....i allso painted the high and low beams black and added some metal flake to the low beam and put hid's in the low beam-so the low beam basically didnt really reflect alot of light but looks amazing as the light shimmers on the flakes and i wired the high to a relay so i hav the highs lows and fogs on at one time and everyone says it looks incredible and doesnt at all blind oncoming trafic but puts out ample light to see everything in front of my car-sorry for the paragraph lol
