S14 ka24de unknown year need ecu and wiring advice.

I searched, the internet has a million answers, all different to this question. I have a Ka24de that is supposed to be from a 95/96 s14. All I have is the engine/trans/intake/exhaust/accessories. Swapping this into a mgbgt. Need to get an ecu and wiring harness. Should I just assume the engine is a 95 and get a 95 pro harness from wiring specialties (stand alone)and get a 95 obd1 ecu to match and call it a day or is there more to it?

Engine harness should match the distributor and intake manifold accessories you are using. So if it's all S14, use an S14 harness.

I've installed S14 engines into S13's a number of times using S13 wiring and ECU. I just switched the distributor and intake manifold (or just the IACV and TPS) to ones from an S13, to give you an idea.

Big fan of MGBGT's and a KA in it should be lots of fun.
