5 lug hub question...its not about fitment

i've been looking for 5 lug hub swap for my 92 240 and i came across this.... http://www.performancenissanparts.co...oducts_id=1161

I called and asked if the fronts would bolt directly onto my 92 and they said "yes"....so whats the difference between these hubs and the attain hubs

I think these are stock 95-98 se hubs.
They probably dont know that these arent a simple bolt on for other years.

I think you are right....if they get you to buy them...their job is done. And I dont think those hubs come with the bearings either...so you'll have to get them pressed....and I believe you'll need S14 spindles to make the swap work.

It's kind of sad when a Nissan dealer lists the WRONG INFORMATION.

S14 front spindle uses a 32mm nut.

S13 front spindle uses a 30mm nut.

And to answer your question directly....

These front hubs are S14 front hubs. They WILL NOT FIT TO S13 SPINDLE. WILL NOT. And they are not the same as Attain hubs.

To recap:

Attain hubs fit to S13. Same with GTO hubs.
S14 only need OEM 5 lug hubs for the front. And they only fit to S14.
Rears are all interchangeable, S14 5 lug and Z32 nonturbo.

Um,

OEM S14 5 lug hubs have bearings pressed into them.

New studs, too.

I have a pair at home. Have to return them to Superior Nissan.... never got around to using them.

Actually I want to be explicitly clear.....

I AM RIGHT.

I know because I HAD Attain hubs on my S13, then I changed my entire front setup to S14 spindles/hubs with S13 LCA and S14 ball joint pressed in, with sleeves machined for the S13 strut.

I speak from experience.

Or read here: http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...b=5&o=&fpart=1

Or quoting what I wrote:

-S13 uses 30mm front hub bolt, S14 uses 32mm front hub bolt. Both chassis uses 36mm rear hub bolt.
-Conversion to 5 lug on S13 chassis requires S14SE/Z32nonturbo rear hubs, and either 1) JDM aftermarket front S13 5 lug hubs, or 2) S14 SE front hubs + S14 spindle + S14 ball joint w/LCA (and redrilling of strut for larger strut bolt).
-Conversion to 5 lug on S14 requires S14 SE front hubs and S14SE/Z32nonturbo rear hubs.

And some info on using S14 front spindles on a S13:

i researched into this b4 i swapped mine. this info was taken from sillbheer's website

For S13 Rear:
S14 SE or Z32 N/A Hubs
S14 SE Rotors (or 4 lug rotors re-drilled to 5 lug)
5 Lug Wheels

For S13 Front:
S14 SE Hubs
S14 SE Spindles
S14 Ball Joint (will need to be pressed into your existing S13 Lower Control Arm)
S14 SE Rotors (or 4 lug rotors re-drilled to 5 lug)
5 Lug Wheels

if you are planing to convert the fronts i HIGHLY suggest just gettin aftermarket conversion hubs (Attain, GTO, Signal Auto ect.) thats what i did. it will save u money and its all you need for the conversion and alot less work. as for the rears all you need are the hubs and rotors

or if you are looking for a cheaper way you can just buy 4 to 5 lug 15mm conversion spacers and save on labor. unless u own a wheel bearing press
