just picked up a 1990 240 coupe 5 speed from a friend a couple weeks ago. it's my third car, to go along with my 2006 Tacoma and my 1991 MR2. so far i've just been getting it road-worthy since it's been sitting for 6 years. so far i've done the timing chain, alternator, oil change, stripped the interior, fixed some wiring issues, ordered a new headlight switch, and diagnosed a high-idle issue (coolant temp sensor wiring).

also, my HUD works.

I picked up a 1991 s13 coupe a couple of weeks ago. It sits on the driveway waiting for a new transmission. It's Auto, and I know i should do a 5 speed swap, but I already have a 5 speed Accord('93 cb7), and i want an Auto DD. I'm completely new to 240s, and anything not Honda.

I'll be doing a transmission install soon enough.. wish me luck, lol.

Hey guys I'm Cody, I'm 23 and I live in Vegas. I'm a tech at Mazda here. Pretty new to 240s but a couple friends have them and i really want to start drifting. I have a 2003 mazdaspeed protege that's pretty quick. But it's wrong wheel drive lol. So it's now the baby mobile. I recently rescued my 91 240sx from someone I know. It had an auto trans that was mis installed ( flex plate backwards and torque converter not set on all the way) so it wouldn't turn over. I went ahead and did the 5 speed swap and got her started. On the first drive out the motor started knocking, fuck me right lol, so I pulled it apart and rebuilt it to stock spec for now. I just got her running really nice so I'm very happy, just need to break it in and start on the suepension. Any way there's my life story lol

It's shitty, but it's the first car I bought myself, free and clear, so there's a little bit of pride there, not much mind you. I plan on getting rid of it when I get my next car to learn how to tune on, here some time in the near future.

I'm not exactly sure what I am getting, or what I want to get. I know what I would love to have, but it's gonna be hell finding one, and being able to afford it on my budget.

I'm in the United States Air Force as an RF Transmissions Systems Technician. Layman's terms, I'm a communications specialist. Radios, computers, satellites and all that jazz. I like it, for now. Been in 3 1/2 years so far. Still a newbie.

As far as the car scene, I'm so new to it it's retarded. While I know the stigma being at my age most of the older crowd is going to think I'm here or into cars because of the Fast and Furious movies. While I do like those movies, it's not the reason. I genuinely enjoy learning about them and want to learn how to work on them and tune them and all that myself. In part because I figure it'll save me in mechanic costs in the future but also give me a cool hobby, maybe even net me some cash along the way too.

Because of my job, I have an electronics background, of sorts. Still, all of this is new to me, and I'm like a sponge to it all, so teach me. I'm ALWAYS down to learn something new. Just please, don't feed me BS.

The HICAS and 1.5 lsd used to keep me grippin no matter how hard I threw her, but now I be sliiidiiin. I blew the original KA in it thanks to wet drifting at a place called Get Nutz Laboratory out here in Las Vegas, look them up on facebook, but now I got another KA from a 98 S14 wid less miles, hopefully she'll last me til I save up for a $R20det
