And yes, I would rather have a rep because it's cheaper. Since both were a limited run piece and are no longer being made, it doesn't matter about supporting the original manufacturer. Neither one fits perfectly so bodywork will have to be done either way. There is basically no difference between the two. I wouldn't be gaining any advantage by spending more money on an original, so your jab doesn't quite make sense anyway since I really don't care about having the approval of a bunch of guys on a forum.

That being said, it's just as hard to find a rep as it is to find an original right now so I'll take what I can get.

Also, I wouldn't have a problem spending the money on an original if one popped up for sale, I make plenty of it. Hell, I probably have $10,000 in my hatch project now and it doesn't even run or have a paint job lol. A big chunk of it is tied up in these rare parts and OEM options.

I know, it's made by Yamato Bit Sports I believe....and the one you have pictured isn't even the same design.

Also I would like to know where they can be found "pretty easy", I did find one company in Belgium that still has some chaser carbon ones in stock (which are supposed to fit a million times better than the frp ones), but they are listed at like $1,300 and with shipping was like $2,300-2,400. I don't want one that bad. Hell, I even had a WTB thread offering up to $1000 to buy someone's chaser frp rep, that's a huge profit for someone, still no luck.

The ones like mine were made by BN, the underside of the hatch looks the same (materials wise) as a BN sports hood and appears to have been constructed a similar way. The Yamato and BN ones are 2 completly different hatches

Replica or not, inverted hatches are the ugliest, stupidest shit ever. They defeat the whole purpose of having a hatch, and they make your car look like one of those Ferrari wannabee kit cars.

I know lol, I messaged him like a couple of days after he posted it and it was already gone lol. Anyway, offer still stands, if anyone has one and wants to make a good profit, I will pay up to $1000 for a chaser piece

I'm not into the design of that one at all. The rear window is too angled, I don't like the shape of that hump in the middle, and I prefer the integrated roof spoiler of the BN/Chaser one

Yeah! Sadly it was delivered damaged. It had a crack in the narrow part closest to the windshield. And a few other small cracks from being his handled during shipment. Still waiting on a partial refund for the damages...

I will get it fixed up like new but I want to wait until I have the rest of my body panels in place before I start fiberglass repair to make sure everything lines up perfect.
