If you are doing it yourself contact rswails on here, he was working on a how to guide I believe.

i need help.

my car won't fire. i already know it's the injectors not firing.

fuel is getting to the rail

i'm running bosch 750cc high imp

the injectors fire if i use a 9v battery to test the solenoid. so they are not stuck.

the harness is all custom.

i have deleted the stock resistor box. i run a direct 12v line from ignition to the injectors and then from the injectors directly to the ecu.

with ign on i get 12v at the injector plugs.

my multimeter isn't able to see the ecu pulse but i'm getting my hands on a noid set tomorrow.

ecu is an aem v2 and i have used the wizard to select the correct injectors

ideas?

You might check your cam and or crank angle sensors. I believe the injector pulse is based on one of those sensors.

Had the same issue with mine. Turned out to be a setting in the V2 that was off. I'm running FIC 775cc high imp and AEM V2. Have someone knowledgeable With the v2 look at it

You said the harness was custom, did you check every connection back to the ECU with a multimeter?

I'm sure the s13/14 side of the wiring from those links would come in handy but he was asking about a 2j VVTi which is a wiring nightmare compared to the non VVTi.

Wow hard to tell. Did this sit for awhile?

Rub your finger over it. If it feels smooth you'll be fine. Keep it oiled as much as possible.

Looks like it was honed recently. It Dosnt look bad at all.

I'm guessing it sat for awhile since it came from japan. Hopefully getting honed out will do the trick.

Wonder if it sat with plugs out? Did it have plugs when you got it? Mines a jdm motor, but there were no marks like that. I'm in the process of rebuilding mine.

plugs were out when I got it but that was from someone local, not sure about when he got it from the importer. Had to rebuild my head already and now I get this problem from the block project cars suck

Ya my motor was in good shape. But I could tell the valve seals were worn in a couple cylinders. But I'm an overkill kind of guy. So I'm doing a full build. I need to start a build thread. Ha

So over the past few weeks i've noticed some poor connections on the wiring to the connectors due to the OEM 20 year old terminals going bad, Anyone know a place i can get a bunch of terminals for wiring for a decent price other than Elmhurst Toyota?

Each plug has a number on it you can Google the numbers and find the plugs, think I paid about $130 for every plug on the harness with pins and little rubber insulator things

Having trouble with my Dakota Digital SGI-8 (Tach Signal Converter) I plugged in into my wiring specialties harness that had the leads for it and Im getting no movement to my tach. The box lights up (flashes). Im running AEM V2, wiring specialties harness, Non-vvti 2JZ-GTE, JDM Cluster, S13. Any ideas? Anyone have the settings for the DD box?

Thanks
