Finally got the turbo.
Oil Cooler shenanigans, Earls 425 should be big enough, the firesleeve I had left over and is mainly there to make sure nothing grounds out on the braided stuff. Front Bumper support / Future Tray Mount / V-Mount Holder / Oil Cooler Holder in progress, good buy for 16$. |

That's where I put my oil cooler. I ran my lines below though. Works pretty well when removing the front corner light on my pignose bumper.
Gets a bit dirty from the wheel kicking up crap on it, but oh well. |

Everything but the ECU, Main Power and Ground are wired in. Fans, Motul and Downpipe Flange should be here next week, Getting AimSports going through Wisass. Tuned on the 9th, off the rollers on the trailer for event on the 10th. |

I would duct the front of it since you don't have a battery tray anymore. Just some sheet metal pop riveted up to about the general airopening. |

nice car and clean setup...GT3076 is too laggy? i just came from a 37R on an evo8 and was planning on a 35R for my S13... a 3076 is one of the best turbos out for a 4cyl, sweet power and good spool.
if you guys dont like lag...get a setup with a supercharger or something... Last edited by sldbyuramg; 04-20-2008 at 02:46 PM.. |

So its not a custom intercooler? Ive wanted to in with a v mount but from everything I could find it seemed too much of a hassle and not worth it. But your set up looks like it wouldnt have and problems. Stock koyo too?

The only "special" stuff you need is an intercooler with tanks wide enough at the bottom to move the 'ports' to the correct position, a radiator breather tank (like he's got on the passenger side of the motor against the firewall), and some bracketry/ducting. Not saying its an easy task, just that it doesn't take "custom" parts.

Marc from Boost Logic and I fabbed this up in 6 days after work. Its not nessicarily hard, but its alot of fabricating.
Its a total pain in the ass. I don't know if its gonna overheat much less if it will actually help anything. I just hope 3076 isn't too big of a bitch to drive. and I hope I can get at least 5 passes on this Exedy Stage II before it goes in the dumpster for an HKS Twin Plate. Fuck this stupid money pit of a car |
