The best option for that would probably be POR 15 grey. You brush it on and it lays very flat, is glossy, and is really tuff.

I snapped this pic a couple years ago in Monroe, WA at Formula Drift.. Now that I am narrowing down my color selections for my project I started going through pics to get ideas.. However, I have been arguing with myself about if this r32 is KH2 (Gun Grey Metallic) or 732 (Black Pearl Metallic).. Anyone know for certain what color this is?



I've combed through google images and forums for literally hours, still go back and forth.. My gut says Black Pearl Metallic, but I keep second guessing.. Dont go to google and type in the paint codes because like I said, I've spent a retarded amount of time combing through pics on google and forums.. So I am trying to find someone who is knowledge able about r32s! Or for anyone who knows who owns this car..

The tough part is I can find pics of each color that can be argued to look or not look like the picture I took (there is no editing done to the pic, maybe a crop)

Here is a sample of what I found..

You posted two different colors. The R32 came in both #KH2 and #732. The first two pictures you posted are for sure #KH2. The last picture you posted is #732.

Sry if you didn't under stand what I was getting at.. The first picture I posted was a pic I took.. The next two pics were samples of kh2 and 732, which I am trying to decide between to figure out the color of the pic I took in fact is.

The problem with KH2 is the fact in that much sunlight the rest of the car I think should be much lighter.. The fender looks so gray because I positioned the sun's reflection smack dab on the front of the fender, so it catches the metallic flakes like crazy.. And in the sample I posted it shows to do the same thing.. Thats where I get a headache about figuring this out..

here are a couple more examples of both colors (732 is a very hard color to find online, ive only have ever found two threads that are confirmed black pearl metallic by their owners... and only one had decent pics)

Just about done with my paint job. Did the whole thing for under $100. This is more a track car then anything else so i saw no need to stick an expensive paint job on it.
Krylon Satin black with Duplicolor Clear Effex on top. Then it s covered with about 4 coats or normal clear
