An eastwood roller, a plastic tipped hammer, a 1350 degree heat gun, and 5 years of experience, LOL.
Here's a more clear picture from tonight - I forgot my camera was set on small.

No dyno yet. I just put the roller on it and kept on cranking it, I beat the tar out of my inner fender liners with a sledge hammer, so that may have made it pull a little easier. But it certainly didn't want to come out that far, thats why it took 2.5 hours.

I was finally able to drive my ls1 240 this weekend. That thing is stupid loud open headers. Unfortunately i ran into a problem with my brakes acting all fucked up and getting locked. It ended up that i need to adjust brake booster rod that connects to the petal and also 1 of my brake lines cracked in half thanks to rust.
What front brakes r u running? Are they 300zx and if so How is the clearance of them with the bbs rs rims. |

My brake pedal just feels super stiff and it doesn't want to stop. One of my rear calipers is seized up, so luckily I happen to have an extra so I'll be replacing that and checking out all of the lines, hopefully I can get it figured out.
I am running Q45 brakes, and I am running 25mm spacers up front so there is no issue with clearance. Should have the new thermostat in tomorrow, so I can bleed the system and hopefully it'll work this time, haha. Hopefully the new LCAs can be welded up tomorrow as well. I'm aiming to drive it around this weekend with the wideband in so we can see what needs to be done fuel wise.

Thanks for all of the complements guys - and thanks for the heads up on the RS lips, those are cheap.
I spent all day today getting the new front control arms on and bleeding the coolant system. At the end of the day I was able to take it out on another little shake down lap up and down the street. This time it was dark out and my headlights aren't wired up yet, so it was pretty sketchy since there are dips and sewer lids that stick up like 3" off the road. My good friend Mike came by and took some HD video for me with a camera that's actually worth a damn, so you can actually hear the motor! The downside from today is the brakes still aren't working after another bleeding, so I am going to flip the little vacuum thing on the brake booster and make sure that isn't backwards. The pedal basically goes to the floor and the brakes barely work at all...making my test drive all the more sketchy.

Yeah, I gave it a little gas in second at super low RPMs on the straight and the tires just started ripping apart, haha. That little donut was at such a low RPM and took like no throttle at all, I can't wait to get it out on a real track!
I'm about to go work on it more now.

Here's a compilation video of all three of those...
Just trying to figure out iMovie so I can make something somewhat OK when I get real video.

Thanks everyone. I got the brakes working....I had the calipers on the wrong side . I feel like a fucking retard, they have L and R on them too, I was just rushing/blinded with excitement about driving it.
I drove it around and really got on it...it is fucking awesome. I should have everything else lined up by Weds-Thursday. Then its just a matter of getting an alignment and drifting on Saturday!!!! The old LCAs were cut out way too much and the rack was majorly overcentered.

Making your own mounts is really not that difficult. If I can do, you can. That or there are at least 6 or more companies making mounting kits.

I used the Sikky kit - which is completely awesome - but you could definitely make your own mounts. Some companies even make mounts you can weld up yourself that are pretty cheap.

I never heard of weld your own mounts but i will try to look into it. Also instead of rewelding everything because of the notch, why not make a bump stop?
