No idea. Tried searching, but only turned up vendors with a generic "newest revision from Nissan" statement. The syncros in CD008 and below and CD009/CD00A is the greatest difference though.

Does anyone know what throw out bearing, fork and sleeve the autotech adapter plate calls for? Also does this adapter require any additional modification other than milling the bellhousing 1/2" & the information listed in this heavy throttle post: http://www.heavythrottle.com/2014/01...adapter-plate/

I am running an OS giken twin plate also which comes with its own bearing but I recall a post on here mentioning possible issues with finding the right size release bearing for this swap with certain twin plate clutches.

Waited fringing 6-7 months for my parts from cbf performance shifter assembly to ultimately cancelling and going with gktech (which I should have done in the beginning). Getting my stuff tomorrow so I haven't done much with my setup as yet. Also need a good machine shop in central NJ for the milling portion if anyone knows any.

That could've been me that said that - have a quick skim through my build thread, I documented which release bearing I had to get for an OSG Twin Plate & Z33 setup.

Z1 Motorsports sells a conversion kit https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-pro...it-p-7340.html
Or you can just order a new CD00A and not have to worry about it.

So now I'm confused what the difference between the internal and external slave model other then the slave? I took it as they are all the same internally?

The everything cd009 swap thread.

Anybody tried the OsGiken fork return kit? Thinking I might try installing it with my mazworx setup so that it pulls the release bearing away from the p plate. Also the adjustable length pin for the clutch master should make it easy to fine tune the air gap.
OsGiken TS2BD clutch, Mazworx bell. I ordered the bearing sleeve that is recommended for this clutch for the factory transmission. But idk if it's the proper gap or not.

Do you have a part number for it. After taking my measurement the short pivot seams to be the most ideal over the long pivot ball that the CD series trans offer. I haven't yet had a chance to mate the trans to the motor to find out.

Ps. I shaved 14mm off the bellhousing and I'm using a Collins SR adapter which measured out to be 15mm.

If you're using the Collins adapter you'll have to contact them for what they recommend. Our bellhousing kit converts all the clutch components and hydraulics to the SR20det components so it's unique in that aspect.

The CD trans has a short pivot ball. Only 03 models had the long pivot ball.

Anyone know the inertia difference between the steel and aluminum driveshafts? The aluminum is lighter but I'm thinking it might actually have more inertia assuming the walls are thicker. Inertia increases linearly with mass but squared with radius so thicker walls impacts the inertia more than the lower weight.

This is a bit of a n00b question but just trying to learn... do you need to use the 350z slave cylinder? If so, would it work just fine with existing s13 master cylinder?

It wouldn't be a noob question if you specified what engine you would be using and what adaptor plate/bellhousing! lol jk, I believe the mazworx sr20 bellhousing converts it to sr20 pivot ball/fork/ slave but could be wrong. if you are not cutting off the bellhousing im sure it will use a cd009 slave since that is what bolts to the bellhousing. 240sx clutch masters are the same size as 350z/g35 clutch masters so they work perfect. Atleast mine does

Well it would be either SR or 1JZ/2JZ. If I go with JZ, I'd likely use the Collins adapter plate, which sounds like I would probably keep the CD slave cylinder since there is no cutting the bellhousing. Thanks!

Early 350Z models had CD000 thru CD008 with revisions such as better/more syncros. CD009 has triple cone syncros for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd; whereas the original CD000 had double cone syncros for 1st, 3rd, and 4th, and triple cone on 2nd only. Basically avoid early 350Z transmissions since the syncros have all kinds of issues.

The 370Z and HR 350Z trans aren't technically CD0 trans anymore. HR and G37 trans is a JK41B, and 370Z is a 1EA0A(B). So if you want a new trans with internal slave, you'd have to order one of these new part numbers. A CD00A will be the standard external slave design.

They can be fairly interchangeable, the service manuals refer to both Z33 and Z34 as a "FS6R31A" type trans. Just make sure you know what you have, so that you can get the correct adapters if needed.
To add some info, I just picked up an internal slave trans from an 08 350z. Sticker says JK40C. I'll be using the Autotech adapter. They're using an internal slave JK400 in their installation pics, so I should be fine.

I've read the JKs shift better than even the CD009? Anecdotal evidence from people who have driven 350s and 370s.

What is everyone running in terms of turbo elbow? I kept my spare stock but after bolting up the trans I went to put on my tomei elbow and there's no way to make it work. Before someone says it I've already shaved off a big chuck from my bellhousing and adapter plate. I'm going to try the stocker but what are you using?

get a 1pc cobra style down pipe, like MFR/Dmax or PBM, then you don't have that flange in the middle of it. tomei is notorious for poor clearance.

It's the 3 bolt flange that's getting in the way. I'll take pictures when I'm home

Right, that's why he's saying to get the 1 piece o2/downpipe like the PBM, it doesn't have that flange.

The flex pipe is right where the 3 bolt is and it looks thick as hell. That's why I brought it up.

Anyone running the Autotech adapter? Mine just came, I held it up to my JK40C bellhousing and it seems very few holes line up...

The picture on their site shows it with a JK400, so it should be fine with my JK40C.

Also, how many holes on the bottom half of CD009/JK40C bellhousings line up since this is only an adapter for the top half?

There is no reason for the flex to be in the donward portion of the downpipe apart from clearance issues. Only people with a cars .002mm from the ground need a flex in the vertical section.

Get a 1 piece downpipe (as mentioned) and kill two birds with one stone.
