I want to pull on this string and make a slight alteration.

There are many folks who can AFFORD a mortgage, but not many folks can AFFORD a downpayment. Significant distinction and how you consolidate wealth among white folks. Why?? White folks are likely to be entrenched in the credit system, which the only way (unless you are ultra wealthy) to really "purchase" a house for 98% of the buying audience.

In economics, a negative income tax (NIT) is a system within an income tax where people earning below a certain amount receive supplemental pay from the government instead of paying taxes to the government.

Can you please help me out here; and I am being genuine and moving pass your comments; how does this relate to folks who only own land and why should folks "NIT" bracket be the only ones who are able to vote??

I am really trying to see the distinction here, because property owners =/= NIT. It seems NIT is mostly relegated to folks who are more....savy with their taxes (read, rich white people who have $$$ to pay for their personal accountant to allow them to jump through all these tax hoops and NOT pay their fair share of taxes).

However, digging a little deeper

A negative income tax is intended to create a single system that would not only pay for government, but would also fulfill the social goal of making sure that there was a minimum level of income for all. It is theorized that, with an NIT, the need for minimum wage, food stamps, welfare, social security programs and other government assistance programs could be eliminated, thus reducing the administrative effort and cost to a fraction of what it is under the current system. It would also eliminate the perverse incentives created by these overlapping aid programs, e.g. when a minimum wage worker who earns a little more nets out with less income because they are newly ineligible for aid.

So given your perspective on Welfare, I can understand your want for NIT.

However, that is also a form of socialism since the government is paying you your shortfall based off your socioeconomic standing, no??
