I think his is stock...seems like I saw a pic of it and it was right hand drive.
I wouldn't think it would a whole lot faster than a KA powered 240 b/c it only has like 5-10 more hp. However, it has tons more potential.

I think the CA motor puts out between 180 and 200 hp. That's the CA18DET I believe.

If you guys want to see an awesome CA check out my My buddy Jason, of the UK.

Very slick!

according to your friends site the stock ca18det goes 0-60 in 6.4, quite an improvement on 7.9 for the ka
with a bigger turbo and intercooler I bet that thing can get in the mid to low 5s

I just read that....very impressive. I wouldn't think 15hp would shave 1.5s, but I guess it has to do with power curve and gearing, too. Now I reeaaallly want one.

Pretty nice eh?

I've got a few old pics of my car on the reader's ride section. Check them out.

But 270hp, from a 1.8L, that huge.

CA is more smog legal then the SR, but good luck finding parts which won't break the bank. If you want to swap find a red head, if you can deal with the smog Make a KA24DET.

Yeah my car is stock with the CA18 I have heard either 0-60 in 6.7 or 6.9 so it's pretty good. I found out about a 1/4 mile track near where I am so I'm gonna try to get there some day. Hopefully I'll have fixed all the bugs in my boost controller before I get there.

Yeah it's made from iron. There is a good aftermarket for the CA engine to, probably need to order stuff from an oversea's company though.
