Server busy error messages - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Nearly everytime I come to this site(which is daily) I get an error that servers are busy. It's clear that it is effecting everyone. What's up with zilvia? It's an invaluable resource for s chassis stuff and I was so happy when it was revived a few years ago

i always wonder if the physical location of the Zilvia server is on someone's computer in the back room of their house and they have no idea what it runs and just keep restarting it when it goes down. or does the OWNER actually still come on here? i have no idea

It's pretty close to that. There are admins who manage to keep things running the best they can but they mostly only have control over users and posts and things you can do via the forum software not the forum server itself. One guy still owns the server/hosting and flatly does not accept any attempts to communicate. I won't name him because it's like invoking the true name of g-d and getting smote to hell.

When the site started to crash and finally went down a few years ago, by then we had already lost touch with him and we all knew it would happen eventually. And AFAIK no one really knows why it came back, haha.
