KA24DE and SR20DET
Been trying to find some information in regards to the Nissan 240sx. When this car came to North America, why did we get KA24DE engine instead of the SR20DET engine?

not even close...
it was due to marketing on Nissans part with the S13 vs the Z32 and the fact we lacked the Skyline to balance out all of the sports cars in the line up. Nissan was going to use the CA18de and CA18det, however this decisions was changed 2 weeks prior to the cars showning at the Detroit Auto Show in 1988 for 1989 release. These words came directly from the Director of Product Development at Nissan in 2008 when we spoke. THREAD LOCKED! |
