Hey everyone, lets see less of this:

No

More of this:

Yes

Or at least this:

Maybe?

I dont understand why people keep buying shitty trailer wheels or random american racing wheels that look funny. There are plenty of reps out there in 15x8/9 and even a couple 10s that look way better. You can't even justify "but real wheels are too expensive" anymore.

because people dont want to go searching and REALLY dont want to spend the money anymore. the 240 scene is for the most part (and unfortunately) very broke. teens and 20 somethings tend to be very impatient and unless instant gratification is involved, the attention spans, patience and will to save just arent there. hell, it took me almost 8 months to get my SSRs purchased, torn apart, polished, powder coated, rebuilt with new hardware and put back together. almost $1400 later, i had a set of awesome wheels! but yeah, that kind of patience and perseverance doesnt really exist in our scene much anymore... most folks who were into quality builds and such moved on to newer cars. the 240 is now, especially the S13, the definition of "restoration car" if you want a nice one!

I know exactly what your getting at. When I had my last s13 my pair of SSRs cost $600 from overseas and took 4 months to reach me. But that's not the point.

$400. $400 fucking dollars. 15x8s but still. Four. Hundred. Fucking. Dollars.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/XXR-536-Silv...09e7f3&vxp=mtr

If you can't afford this $400 fucking dollar wheels, you have no business messing with cars. Not trying to be a dick, but that is the cold hard truth. Seriously, new diamonds cost more than that, maybe even used ones.

Just finished this little summer project with my little brother.

His budget was very small so we opted for "trailer wheels" (actually stock car/dirt track wheels) and I am pretty happy with the result.

New wheels will be coming over the winter but for the time being these wheels served their purpose and at $30 something a wheel they sure beat the hell out of the stock teardrops.

I know its not the coolest thing ever but he is 19 working in a warehouse like 50 hours a week to afford this, I like it, but more importantly he likes it which is all that matters.

Props to him. Cleaner car then 90% in this thread too. IMO, right now he has an 8. Put some used SSRs on there and crank that shit to 12. Tell him +1 for not being a loser and dropping the rear flare low to try and tuck more tire.

Sorry, I'm a dick but anything other then JDM wheels or at least copys of JDM wheels really kills the whole "Dorisha" look to me. Its like some fineassbitch steps out of a limo wearing this tight little dress but then you notice her feet and shes wearing some fucking twice deployed combat boots. Pretty decent analogy.

car looks amazing to me, wheels look fine to me. i really see no need to change them. i don't understand the problem some have with steelies. i like them, some of my favorite car builds use steelies. but then again i care not when it comes to whats culturally acceptable in any scene. culture is not your friend unless you like for your friends to keep you in marketed biased limits and boundaries.

It's sad that people have to pre-justify their choices so zilvia nerds don't jump down their throat.

I wouldn't want trailer wheels, but id rather have trailer wheels than tires with the amount of stretch in the middle picture. Last picture is enough, any more stretch is unnecessary.

I like it. I have a lot of adjusting to do. But I don't have to squint too hard to see the end result so I guess that's nice.

My s13 sort of applies I think?
American racing 15x7 unsure of offset

xxr 501 15x8 unsure of offset

drift on stock rears because I get free tires and they were $40

I dont care that they are reps nor do I care that my car isnt stanced. Its 3 inches lower than stock and it already scrapes while being daily drove
