It's tall because of fitment issues especially on s13 (front especially) and also feels like crap with such a giant sidewall.

Only if your trying to slam the car, if the car is not lowered to far there is no major issues.

And you know this how? I have not ran my 275's on the track yet, BUT have ran 235/45/17's (same rolling diameter, same GIANT sidewall) Advans, and found the car handles just fine on track.

Not trying to bust your chops, but just trying to point out that a tall sidewall does not mean shitty handling. You want tall... I ran 225/50/15 hoosiers on the front of a sentra, the car was still fast and easy to drive on track.

Well you've run them on 17x9 with Richard's less camber/more clearance housings right?... generally s13 front doesn't like it fitment wise

Nothing a set of cheap ebay wide fenders couldn't fix, or just run the car high enough so the tires never smack the fenders .

Wow. Pearl White/RPF1 got popular fast.

My car:

Fuck, I'm buying aero next.

Car looks good, though, JRas. I kinda wish I went the 9.5 route.

Not as baller as some of you guys, but its a big jump for me. 18" G35 wheels.
245/40/18 Front
255/35/18 Rear
Stock fenders, rubs when I hit hard but not bad since I'm not dropped to low. Roll coming soon.

lol, you know what, you are right. i didn't even notice that till now. the 35 series and 40 series tires were supposed to be for the 235/245 setup. at the last minute, i decided to go with 245/255 setup but totally forgot about the sidewall aspect ratio. oh well, i'll just have to keep it as is. good catch.

275/40/17's on my S14. But they're really wide 275's.

Right after install and no changes to camber. Fenders were already pulled for my last set of wheels/tires. Needed more fender modding though.

After a little more pulling.

Still needs just a few more mm pulled out of the fenders so it won't rub on hard launches or big bumps.

well does anyone know how much distance is in between the hub and the stock suspension, and on the other side of the hub, between the hub and fender? im guessing a little under 6 inches to the struts, and a little under 4 to the fender? im not able to measure at the moment. guess ill have to get out the ruler next time i get the chance haha.

Revive!

Guys I went to have a look at prices for tyres the other day and at the shop they had 265/35/18's sitting there in a stack- they were Kumho semislicks, couldn't stop staring at them and touching :P.

And also was having a gander at a Porsche Carrera sitting round the other day and it had 265/35/18s on the rear and 235/18s (pff) on the front and had to laugh cause at the shop I ordered 275/35/18's for ALL 4 corners :P!
SO I'm gonna have wider wheels on all for corners on my S14 :O then on the back of a Porsche lol :d loves it.

There will be photos, so this thread can go on

I have a set of 17x9 +15s all around. I was wondering what fitment issues 235/40s all around would have? How well does it work with KA gearing? (s13 on coils)

That should fit no problem. KAs are weak, so the shorter gearing from 235/40 should help your acceleration out quite a bit.

Quick Questions.

How wide to the RIMS have to be to run a 275? 10"? And this is on the rear only.

I'm a big fan of stretching and hellaflush fitment.... but I can't deny the coolness of a meaty drag car setup. A friend of mine is picking up a S13 soon, and I'm pretty set on doing his car this way.

Man fit some 255s up front heh... thats a huge stagger + huge waste of front wheels (9.5 you can fit 275s as well, 10.5 holy crap fit some 295s...)

importantone - this is not a drag car thread.. otherwise we'd be running skinnies in the front and 3xx or mickey thompsons all the time... its for the grip crowd mostly...
