I think there are some shops that do tech up there, its just that they are not listed cuz they never do events up there usually. I would try to call around to some places like Bell motorsports, I bet the guy there must know of a place or two.

and SRfastback, you dont need anything else, just common sense! And dont push yourself to hard, your out there to have fun and learn to handle your car. This track can be very dangerous so we will need to keep our heads out of our asses while we drive.

None that I know of. We just had a small meet on November 15. The next one will probably just be at the track, and it isn't expected to be very big either. I'm hoping more people show up though, even if they're not running on the track, to show some NorCal 240SX support. :P Also, anyone can drive their cars on the track during the parade laps, at a 55mph limit (more or less; I'm not sure if it's the same at every track). It would also be nice if someone could bring an ice chest of sodas or water so we don't have to buy the drinks they have at the track, which cost more.

hah thanks for the offer, i'll mail you a business card

So far my main problems are:

Need extra 400 bucks for install of SR
Need however much money to try to find stock side mount intercooler, or pay the 800-1000 for a FMIC...
Have to pay for my cusco tension bar (group buy deal) 100 bucks
And have to pay for track day in less than 2 weeks

I can either back out of the group buy and pay for the track day and then pray I get the money my friend owes me, or I can do the 200 dollar one, and pay in december. Ive got about 150 bucks to my name as of now. And Im not worried about helmet/gloves because thats what I asked for, for xmas... Im gonna go count change

ok here's what you do....use your 150 bucks to go out to the junkyard, but a shit load of parts for Corolla GT-S's, and wear cargo pants so you can fit all of the small pieces in your pockets, try to get as much for free as you can. the big money pieces are the headlight motors, those lil reflector things on the front of the headlights, the black plastic center piece between the tail lights, center console CUP HOLDERS are big time, cuz they fit in your pocket and sell for a good price, also, older Celica/Supra wheels are good to resale, just buy a set, and paint em flat black, and corolla heads will buy em up. also look for Throttle Position Sensors (TPS), throttle bodies, intake manifolds, and cam gears. OH and if you see a 87, get the smoked tail lights, cuz people with older corollas liek those cuz they look better than the non-smoked ones. after this, go to club4AG.com and SELL SELL SELL.

ok thats my $.02, good luck.

oh and if you are lucky enough to find one with a stock LSD, GET THAT SHIT!! thats HUGE money! oh and one with working rear hatch shocks, or maybe even sell the whole rear hatch...people will buy anything, any body parts that are in decent shape, interior pieces, seats with the lumbar support, etc...just keep ur eyes peeled.

well when it comes to registering for Speedtrials, the earlier the better, cuz you never know when the event will fill up...unless you can keep in touch with tommy to see how many spots are still open, it would be a big gamble to wait til right before the event to register....so i dunno...its really up to you dude, im not the boss of you.

Well, I'm still trying to pull together the money but it's not looking good. I missed a couple days of work to work on my school projects and lost a lot of money there. I also still have no way to get a helmet and my parents are trying to plan a ski trip for after Christmas I'm so sad, I really wanted to go, even if I couldn't afford to compete.

hi all... this is my first post, so i thought that it would be fitting to put it in the norcal thread, since i'm from norcal. i scrolled through 16 pages and i know that everone's going to have the meet on the 28th of December. i wish i could drive but unfortunately i can't afford the fees plus the helmet... oh well maybe next time. i am seriously considering going to watch though... and finally meet some fellow 240 enthusiasts. Just don't rip on me too much cause i'm a newbie ok?! hahaha...

btw... a ski trip would be pretty cool... we could go up to boreal or something in january or february. i haven't been snowboarding in so long, and since everyone here seems to be good friends, that'll make it more interesting... anyways just putting some input... ignore me at your own will

Yeah, come and watch, and help fill up the parking area with 240SXs. That should help us show SpeedTrialUSA that there's an interest in track days by 240SX owners in NorCal.

Yes, $10 gate fee.

I don't think we're meeting anywhere beforehand, at least not on the track day. Drivers should be at the track between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. Actually now that you mentioned it, maybe meeting beforehand would be a good idea.

I'm from Fremont. Anyone from this area (Milpitas, San Jose, Union City, etc.) wanna meet somewhere first, like at 6:00 AM, and then drive to Infineon together? I know I'm asking kinda early (by about a month and a week) but wutever.
