Waste of time.
Why would you swap your sr out for a ca?
Rebuild, or Buy a new Longblock.

it will cost more to rebuild sr. than buying a ca from a friend. i had a type x black top so, you find me a cheap long block type x for under 1k shipped and let me know. thanks

I have a CA and I love it. But I wouldn't recommend it. I'll say that much. I wouldn't change my swap for anything. I'm just lucky enough to be able to find rare parts for these things. I have a new set of HKS discontinued 264 cams for your buddy. LOL

I personally havent owned a CA but I have friends that swear by them and are making just as much power as other platforms. Only downside are parts usually people who have the parts keep them for spares incase shyt.

maxstyle is pretty much dead on.

From what I've heard:

Pulsar NX (1987 to 1990 i believe) had a N/A CA18 that came out in the states...
Although the N/A version came with a larger throttle body and obviously smaller injectors...

Parts that dont fit from the pulsar you can get off the 1985 hatchback 200sx turbo (US) that had a CA18ET SOHC or CA20E. Just remember its a SOHC!

So you can get parts for them in the states, just less common than the SR because it is older and less popular.
