f3034 - first off i'd just like to welcome you to zilvia.net, although im almost as new as you, however...

...at first i was just being a smart ass...but your being a real pain in the ass. and thats from a 17 year old. have a little courtesy and atleast start your own thread, youve been on this post only 1 day. I would think anyone here would atleast show a little respect to a fellow 240 owner and fan. god forbid i should actually sell some parts and be able to do more work on my 240, i mean why would i want to do that?

but either way, no hard feelings...i just hope you might take this into consideration for future referance.

thanks for understanding. i actually do feel that you are being pretty mature about it as well. but at the same time, i think it speaks alot that you decided to call me out on the board instead of emailing me. once again sorry.

yeah, i guess that was a mistake on my part..my bad.
hey, it sounds like youve done alot of work on your 240 though...what other body work have you done? and actually im open to any suggestions about what i should do about the back end of my kit. ive got that new shogun from erebuni and the back skirts dont fit what so ever. im thinking about getting them remolded or just going with another kit for the back...but im not sure anything else would look right with this kit. www.erebunicorp.com ...go to ground fx and from there to the 240's for the 97, the first kit on top is what ive got. and the rear middle part doesnt even exist, it has to be created from scratch and blended into the bumper and 2 rear side skirts. (is the C-West kit rear end the same?) www.autoimaging.com for that one, i think thats the site.

well, here is what i have done, and what i can do. anything you name. me and my brother both got '95 240's which were totalled. i rebuilt them both with 98 front ends. mine is a SE with LE beige leather, his is a base model. his, i painted corvette yellow with blue pearl. he got the entire Zeal kit with the Veilside I wing. i molded the entire kit etc. on my car, im waiting to finish all the body to paint it. i am custom venting my hood and my fenders. im going R33 style bumper with the Edge copy side skirts. for the rear end, that troubles me too. my little brother's Zeal one looks real nice, but i had to modify the #### out of it to get it to fit. the only way it looked good is molded. i guess you have already looked at the veilside little rear pieces that you can use huh? its hard to say with the rest of your kit. everything just looks so simple compared to the long curvy lines of the veilside look. give me an email. we can talk about whatever you have questions on. As far as the Cwest goes, i think it comes like that, if you are prepared to spend the cash. also, i must warn you that it is made for the jdm bumper and you will have to trim alot of where it is supposed to be mounted, and you will have to use screws going directly into the sides of the kit to mount it. also, you will be left with two triangular gaps at the corners of the bumper. that is how the one my brother fits.

AHA!!!!! i just figured it out. the C-west kit and the erebuni one i have, have almost identical rear ends. and like you said, the cwest needs the jdm bumper. thats why my kit didnt fit...the erebuni rear side skirts are for the JDM bumper too. they never mentioned a thing to me or the body shop i went to and I called twice and then i had the shop call them. I love you man!!(in a non-sexual kind of way). now i just need to find a way to get the cash for a JDM rear bumper.

you dont necessarily need to get the jdm bumper because if you do, you will have to get the jdm bumper support as well what needs to be done is the fiberglass work on the aftermarket piece. it is way cheaper and way easier.

see thats the problem...its not easier to do the fiberglass work, atleast not at the shop im going to. if anyone knows of a shop in the atlanta area that can do it, then i will definatly go for it, but its next to impossible to get the fiberglass work done, and i dont have the money to get that kind of work done.

plus i just dropped 300 on repairing my front bumper from accumulated road damage, and i just f*cked it up again. i must have been going 2 mph and i didnt even notice the little parking bump. so the kit hits the bump and gets a chunk knocked out of it on the left corner, and the lower lip got knocked out of place, plus a few more cracks on the side flare and 2 of the mounting holes broke on both ends. its not as bad as the previous damage b/c its mostly mounting stuff that broke, but thats another 300 down the drain. (i hate my life). the first time this happened it didnt bother me, now i cant even crack a smile. to make matters worse im going to be paying for college soon and no one around here is hiring so im having a tough time lookin for a job. I mean im pretty cool with the guy that owns the shop so hopefully he'll be sympathetic and hook me up, but hes been charging me out the ass for everything else, so im not sure. hmmm..what to do, what to do...

yeah, i know what you mean about the cost. but actually, most guys who say they got raped at a bodyshop really didnt. they are paying the price for that shop. shops charge differently according to volume. so some ppl get really good jobs and a fair price. but some, who do the same job, charge more. maybe you should look elsewhere. it never hurts to ask. sometimes, around here, the best guys are those old old mexican doods who own a average shop who do the best work. fiberglass has been around for ages. corvettes for example had fiberglass panels up front. the only thing i can say is to be patient if you dont want your car looking like every one elses. or do what i did. get fed up and go out an learn to do it myself... so i know my car wont look bad. i would say that i could fabricate the piece for you, but i would need your bumper, and with the cost of shipping, it would just end up costing you just as much as paying someone there to do it.

actually im kinda upset with erebuni...we called them 3 seperate times and they never told me or the shop about the jdm bumper. i think i might have to speak to a manager or someone else about that. its not mentioned on the site, i wasnt told that during the order, i have all the reciepts and everything. if that doesnt work, i think ill contact the better business bureau (is that how you spell it?). I mean that bumper and brace is an extra cost that is required to install the kit...seems pretty cheap that they wouldnt put it on their site or say anything to me or the shop.

If either set of the fog lights are still available, I would be interested in buying a set.
You could either reply on here or send me an email. I'd rather pay through paypal over anything else. But I could have the money to whoever asap after a final price with shipping is reached. It would be shipped to 11756.

yeah, the shop i used to work with used to buy from erebuni... man those guys are assholes. we ordered a kit for an MX-3. they first took a month to ship it, shipped to the wrong address.. took like another month to get it to us. then they ended up sending us a #### MX-6 front end... "Sorry no refunds" was what they said. we dont buy from them anymore. when me buy, its thru other vendors who carry them.

i feel your pain. Im actually going to send them a letter letting them know what happened in regards to my kit. if that doesnt work, im going straight to the BBB, or another consumer rights organization get some compensation since they lied to me...honestly if i had know i was going to have to buy a whole new rear bumper, i wouldnt have gotten the kit.

ive actually been gettin a bunch of really good tips from my consumer finance teacher. im glad i took that class.

well i think we went that route as well, bbb and consumer protection. but i believe that their dislclaimer says it all. i believe that they are fully protected under the law. read over their policy and see if you cant find a loophole i must warn you though, they will ignore you and ignore you until you have to get a lawyer and sue them. i may just not be worth your time. which is what they are counting on.
