I am at a base in Tokyo. If you have questions or need to find anything just hit me up. Im heavy into the car scene. You can actually bring your cars if your willing to pay the fee's. Just remember everything is really expensive here ie parts, labor, tax's, gas, parking...... you get the idea.

It is really good scene, the people are really nice. If you try to talk to them they will talk to you. Ive been all over people's car, in and out looking at stuff, every thing from silvias to Ferrari's. Also helps not to be a douche and show a little respect to your own ride.

As far as driving in tokyo....define driving lol. It can take hours to get a short distance, other times you can get places fairly quickly. I drive most places but the train is usually faster if your traveling during normal hours.

Scenes pretty good, but traffic is a PITA! best hours I drive in are from 11pm to 6am. Trains are your best bet though as they typically will always be faster. Motorcycle is the best method of transportation though. Im torn on getting a motorcycle or a 180SX in almost perfect condition all stock with a blacktop engine I just found for cheap. If I wasn't going on vacation this month, I might be taking a look at both. If I can manage the payments I might actually get both. Just need to get a second part time job. LOL

What part of Tokyo you moving too? Parking will be expensive if you are living within the city.

There are always car meets going on during the week at many of the PA's around Tokyo.

With the shitty yen rate, you dont really make money selling parts anymore.

Anyways, if you're gonna be living IN tokyo, you probably dont want a car. Between traffic, parking and easier to use the subs/jr lines...you probably wouldnt need a car.

You have no idea what the f your talking about, thank china for strangling japan with the yen and also obama for doing nothing about it. By all means hit the books and go to school in the USA. If you want to be punished because your an american be my guest. Might be fun but expensive it will be and mind the books and not the parts cuz you will never finish school.

Oh crap, the black chopper with people from the secret service have pulled up gotta go now cuz I mention the "O" word.

IT may be wise to think about living in Saitama, really close to Tokyo and the pricing is very low, including car parking. There are train lines feeding into Shinjuku area.

Apartments these days have come down in price, even some not needing full two month deposits. It doesn help having a Japanese person there to negotiate.

Here's how I spend last weekend => http://zilvia.net/f/media-forum-pict...ml#post4680626

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
