Right but I don't care if the pope owned it, it's not worth 32k 😂some people are crazy!

to each their own.. if I was in the market for a S13 coupe I'd pay an absurd amount of money for a car with an original HUD windshield.

lol we have one in my shop right now, and removing the oem hud windshield for a glass-out paint job is VERY tedious.

It's not worth $32k... to you.

I think Balenciagas are stupid and Yeezys are some of the ugliest consumer goods I've ever seen, but people will pay a hundred times what I'd pay just for the satisfaction of owning a pair.

Oh I agree 100%. It's only going to go up too. You can't even find a 240 in my area let alone a clean one! I don't mind if it sky rockets. I already have my car that I'm going to keep lol sucks for people in the market though.

Basically increasing prices just makes it seem more worth it to fix all body issues on my 97 and get it repainted. Not planning on selling, but spending $2k+ for paint and body work starts to make more "sense" if the car will end up being worth $10k, vs spending a bunch of money on a car only worth $3k.

Just hope we start seeing more quality examples as owners give these cars some TLC, and not just a bunch of busted cars thinking theirs is even close to the same league.

This car has been for sale for quite some time now. The mileage is impressive, but the car overall is questionable.

A few pieces that stood out:

Rust under the passenger frame rail

Replaced radiator core support. You can see non-factory welds on the underside pic. It's also missing the usual core support stickers.

Foam missing between the upper radiator core support and the radiator.

Replaced bumper support. You can sort of spot the black bumper support. From all of the S14's I've owned, the only ones that had solid black bumper supports were cars that had OEM replacement bars installed after an accident.

The front fender fitment is noticeably off compared to factory where the fenders meet the door. The gap is tight at the top and gets wider as you go down.

The inner fender edges in the engine bay makes me suspect a complete respray on the exterior.

Engine has an aftermarket crank pulley.

Rattle can undercoating on several sections of the car. The front TC rod brackets, fender wells, below the spare tire, etc.

Someone definitely put a lot of effort to make it look as original as possible, but made noticeable mistakes.

It's a clean car, but I'd argue it is worth less than half of what it's up for due to the repairs and obvious signs of rust.

Oh I fully understand, but considering a 1998 240SX w/ seemingly paint damage/repair sold for $25k I doubt people would care.

Wasn't aware the car was "for sale" for so long though...

Jesus man, Crimson out here being NCIS Zilvia. Good eye, man.

I had to let the Juniper car go. I was set to buy it but had no place to store it in the US. Sucks to suck, I suppose.

Got it stripped down, ready for paint and body work. Might even have enough for my own build thread soon.
OEM clips and trim are nickel and diming me over here, but most are so old and brittle they just crumble once removed.

Im all about keeping restoring one. Just need to find coupe for an S13 coupe for a decent price... Hell I would be cool with a rolling chassis. But this topic is no joke, I met a man that has one (with title) and is parting it out. Wont sell me the rolling chassis because he can make more money selling everything off of it then dragging the shell to the scrap yard... it almost made me sick...

You should ask him what is buy-out price is. I'd be interested to see what he thinks/knows it's worth...

I think I'm going to take the suspension and shit off my S15s. Maybe once I do that, I can post here again...

If anyone else has cars the fit the description, please post them. Shit isn't getting any better here with SpecRs and turbo S13 Silvias touching $30k-$35k. Keep on restomodding/OEM+ing.

It's great to see preservation of original examples. I've recently come upon my father's 1990 S13 Fastback he purchased new and still with the original KA24E (or as I refer to as the "Japanese Iron Duke") sadly parts are quite hard to come by. If anyone has info on the engines and such, (also if anyone is looking to off load a stock radio and/or a climate control face) any messages would be greatly appreciated!

The only thing I'm not particularly in search for is the sun visors as they are always hit-and-miss thus these are some new ones I custom built from scratch.

Does anyone have a source for the plastic turn-clips that connect the various door handle and lock mechanism bars to/from the latch etc? There are multiple shapes/colors. I asked Nissanparts and they said they're discontinued, but pretty sure they are the same on all Nissans even current ones. Is it as simple as matching the shape/color?

So for some reason, the search database on Nissanparts.cc is missing a lot of items. Plus they use the very low resolution images for a lot of items so it's even harder to find what you want. I would recommend going to parts.nissanusa.com and searching that way. Then just search by part number on nissanparts.cc for the best prices. The Nissan USA website also shows you a quantity needed, pretty handy when ordering a bunch of grommets, clips, and screws. That site is showing 4 total part numbers for the various "HOLDER-ROD", and only 1 is currently discontinued.

Theoretically if looking for used you can match up by shape & color.

I just did a quick search for one of the part numbers, and found Dorman sells a door rod "assortment" kit. Also seems to indicate Toyota also used the same style clips. So that might help broaden your search if scouring a junk yard.

My effort to save another one.

'95 Zenki slick top. I was waiting for the right Zenki to come up for sale to install everything I had held onto Navan wise.

This one wasn't a bad base to start off with. The interior was pretty beat and there were a lot of worn/broken pieces I had to replace. I prefer worn original paint versus dealing with something that's been resprayed multiple times.

Saturday 2/13

Removed the interior and prepped it for the replacement:

New interior:

Quick clean up on the engine bay:

After a quick wash with the new interior and all replacement components:

Full OEM Navan Aero + Euro glass lights, refinished Kouki taillights, replacement trunk (to not drill holes in the base model trunk) and an OEM Kouki wing. 18x9.5 / 18x10.5 TE37SL in pressed double black.

Still a long way to go with what I have in mind for it, but I'm definitely happy with the current result after three days worth of work.

Do you have any advice for sourcing Zenki Euro glass LHD headlights? I'm working on an OEM+ restoration of my 96 SE, and the yellowed OEM headlights are such an eyesore every time I look at the car.

Honestly, I haven't looked this up in a while.

They used to be readily available through local Nissan dealerships several years back, but I forget if one side was discontinued at some point or if it was just easier to source directly from UK Nissan stores.

I haven't been updating this FS thread as much as I should have, but the first post has relevant info (especially in the link to the Google Document I've put together):

https://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=673437

Good news is, the zenki/kouki glass headlights are NOT flagged as stop production, I have about 60 pairs of zenki and 30 pairs of kouki on order.

I usually go on Amayama first:

180SX:
https://www.amayama.com/en/catalogs/nissan/180sx

zenki/chuki:
https://www.amayama.com/en/catalogs/...ight-1989-1421

body parts:
https://www.amayama.com/en/catalogs/...ht-1989-1421/6

front door lock & handle:
https://www.amayama.com/en/catalogs/...989-1421/6/600

The clips are all there, mouse over the parts to see the corresponding item highlighted. Then cross reference the part via Google search or a local dealer inquiry.

Alex

Edit: I also find that the parts diagram on Nissanpartsdeal dot com is better, it's a dealer out in Las Vegas.

I've been on the search for a harmonic balancer for the KA24E and a drive shaft as well having found out the ones currently on the car are bad, transmission guy noted a bad vibration. Going to have the engine mounts in the vehicle replaced and will have a closer look at the issues sometime soon possibly locating weather a singular part or a number in unison, though nonetheless is anyone aware of more reliable methods of sourcing KA24E parts?

Sucks how many people have been saying to just "stuff a SR20DET or KA24DE" into the car, I quite like SOHC variation of the car and wish the engines were more preserved.

Might have to go with a used one for the balancer.
And the driveshaft, Id go with aftermarket. (Driveshaft shop)
The stock driveshafts have that 2 piece connector in the middle and those normally go bad over time and can cause noise/vibrations

Still a long way to go with what I have in mind for it, but I'm definitely happy with the current result after three days worth of work.
