Pic of the longblock after being picked up. paired with the turbo I planned to run before. Thanks to Henry.

Longblock was super clean already. Just need a new Valve Cover as previous cover was shaved and running Coilpack setup.

Also prep the Intake Manifold for boost so most ports are plug and only running necessary lines.

Here's a pic of the simplified version of the KA Manifold. I'm using S14 Upper Half so I don't have to worry about butterflies being removed and plugged. The turbo water lines are the one that goes to the TB. I'm routing that now to the turbo and just sawed up the ports on the TB.

Pics of the Turbo and Wrapped Turbo manifold.

Oil Return Setup, Custom solid mounts and AN Power Steering line.

Just an Update...

Last week I ordered an ISIS V2 KA24DE Turbo Manifold. For it looks more solid than what I currently have and seems to have better clearance from the BMC as well. We shall see once I received it.

I'm also debating if I should just shoot for High HP for I do have a Built KA ready for it. Over the weekend I came across a deal hard to pass up which was a Good Condition Holset H1E turbo. Had a little play so I decided to go ahead and rebuild it anyway. Rebuild kit has been ordered and shaft and turbine compressors has been re-balanced earlier today " Thanks to Yoni_Nismo". Just to show you guys how big this turbo is check the pic below. I know going for High HP will lag but for these project being High Comp and Twin Scroll hopefully it should be enough to help with spool time. I may just save the 20g and Isis manifold on my S13 Vert Project. Either way I'm still undecided for I don't have a solid drivetrain that can handle that much HP.

Good thing you asked this question. I intend to go back and start attending local drift events again. With that in mind I had to re evaluate my turbo setup while Holset would be powerful it would most likely be too laggy even on a high compression motor. I'm sure it would be great for a drag car.
With the Holset I have currently being too big on the a turbine side and requiring to spend more money on Twin Scroll type turbo manifold. I'm actually selling this turbo as well as my 20G bottom mount setup. I know with the 20G it would be powerful enough to make low to high 400whp numbers. I just want more room on the turbo side plus having the footprint for a better turbo like the PTE6262 in the future. For now I was able to put together T3/T4E 60 trim top mount setup on a good flowing turbo manifold with boost regulated by 38mm Tial ext WG. Currently awaiting my Big Blue spring...

Pic....

Here's the shot of my Forced Performance TD06SL2-20G Bottom Mount Turbo Setup.

nice, i can finally understand every single thing your doing since i have gone through my build already. and yea you dont wanna wrap that exhaust manifold..its asking for crack. haha

that oil return line, is that your old set up or did you just put that together in this build? because when i did mine just like yours, it seemed to point at a slight downward angle.

Depends.. If your rocking cheapo bottom mount manifold with BMC clearance issue and high engine bay temp. It make sense to wrap them and should it crack I'm sure you'll get year usage out of it and then replace it. But since the new ISIS V2 manifold has better clearance and thicker piping then it would be best to leave it unwrapped.

The Oil Return line is something I put together which is 10AN 90degre hose.

Except for the part where stainless and heat don't play nicely together. And wrapping it only keeps the heat in....

Doesn't mean every single one will be like that.
Plus. You stainless steel header is VERy VERY different from a stainless steel turbo manifold.
One sees way more extreme conditions than the other.

No one has to take my advice. Nor will my advice be correct in every situation.

I'm only giving my recommendations. Based on my experience with stainless steel. Since I work exclusively with stainless steel everyday.

Haven't updated this thread in awhile since I've decided to slow the build process for the KA24DE-T since this require more $$ and rather wrap up the smaller build so atleast I won't have 2 cars down. I'm currently finishing my basic KA24E-T Vert build which should be done soon since its summer after all. As it stand I made the final decision on the turbo selection. I ended up going for the H1C/HIE Hybrid Holset. I'm using the H1E Compressor housing and H1C 12cm Turbine housing shaft. After some measurements there wasnt a big difference on the turbine wheel size between the 2 turbos but significant on the compressor wheel. anyways below is the pic on the motor as it stands and a preview of the KA24E-T build as well.

KA24DE-T rockin Holset H1C/H1E hybrid turbo.

<<< KA24DE-T ---- KA24E-T >>>
