well, i was over at a friends house for a wedding planner's meeting (owner of the S2000 is getting married) and decided afterwards that i would ask him to let me drive it. hehe, well to make a long story short, that car sorta disappointed me =[

i was thinkin: wow, pure sports car, really light, 240hp, backwheel drive, sweet!

i found: uh... torque plz?

well, it felt like driving a fixed up GSR basically, just that it rev'ed faster at higher revs than integras did and that it had the distinct feel of a back wheel drive car. dont get me wrong, it was pretty quick on its feet, but for 240hp, i would expect more power... unfortunately, that wasnt the case =[

final thoughts: extremely fun car, great handling, really fast, but it definately needs more torque for the "yes sir, right away" type feel. without it, it feels almost sluggish like it wants you to take ur time gettin up to speed. yah, its a roadster, but still... it has 240hp.

hehe, fun car

i respect all RWD hondas......
i have so many friends that have that car... it rides like a charm.. fast, light, and awesome cornering.....
that mid-range power is awesome.... it pulls so hard that it kinda feels like boost kicking in....

yeah, s2000 gets 9 sec 0-60 if you dont rev it to 7k and dump the clutch! then it's an amazing 5.8sec.

S2000 a slouch? bah.....i don't buy it.

did you get the thing past 5k rpms? i know if i was driving one i'd be curious to see what 9k screaming rpm sounds/feels like. i've been told that the thing has to be driven hard to be enjoyed. so if you were a bit nervous about driving your friends $35000 car and didn't push it, i wouldn't pass judgement just yet.

I don't get it...everyone says the car has no torque...When I drove it, I found there was plenty of low end torque for cruising around town. It was definitely a lot more than what I expected...

the s2000 hits a peak torque @ 7500rpm w/ 153 torque, which is close to the 240's peak torque @ 160, the problem is, the s2000 has a very weak low end, yet it's got an amazing top end. thus dump the clutch @ 7000 will make it a kick ass car, and smell the clutch burn!!!

well, just to let u guys know, i basically redlined the car in every gear cept 5th (cuz there werent enough long roads for that)

dont get me wrong, i think the mid and high of the car are awesome, just if it had good low end, oh man, it'd be such a quick responsive car. i liked it though, it was very smooth from gear to gear even at high revs and was very smooth in hard corners and such. i didnt wanna dmg the clutch, so i was a bit more careful with that, it would suck to return something to my friend broken =[

yah, dont get me wrong guys, i did like the car, just thought something coulda been improved
