Pretty boring read. A little disappointing considering the other articles at motoiq. Just a bunch of plugs for companies and no real useful information about damper valving.

basic, the title said basic, wtf do you expect.

it was very well set up for someone who knows 0 about suspension, which i believe was it's intent. all the info was irrelevant to me, as it's nothing i don't know, but for someone just starting out and wants to learn the basics, it was well written.

I think he is just setting the pace for a series of articles. Gotta start with an intro basically. The next one I'm sure will have more useful info for the beginners.

No doubt. Seen way too many people snapping/bending them at drift days. I'd also add RUCA's to the list.

Top 10 things to have a pretty solid daily and track fun car! No order here but should be done before!

SOME NICE SIZED WHEELS TO RUN A GOOD SIZE TIRE FRONT AND REAR! DOESN'T NEED TO BE HELLA FLUSH 18X12 -52 OFFSET EITHER. A GOOD 17X9 AND UP WOULD BE GOOD TO RUN, YOU CAN RUN ANY TIRE FROM A 215/50/17 STRETCH TO A 265/45/17 STRAIGHT GRIP STATUS!

1.bucket seat

2.diff

3.coilovers (a good spring and shock combo will work but will cost almost the same as some decent coilovers)

4.aftermarket tie rods (tein is the way to go)

^^ those are the big ones i would do! These others are just lil bits that help everything come together!

5.rucas

6.tension rods

7.toe arms

8.good steering wheel setup that brings the wheel a bit closer to you

9.good clutch setup

10.good brakes/setup

also what alot of people over look is!! Good gripping tires up front!

Yea that stretch tire fad is extreme, maybe a tad bit of stretch like running a 235 on a x9 would be ok but people who do freaking 215/45 on 10s and 10.5 or the ever more extreme stretches

Do most of you guys put the coilovers on without accommodating arms? ex. ruca, toe arms, tension etc...
How would you be drifting an a fucked up alignment??
