I wanna be like drift fx!
Cf overs! Who makes those? Are they 80mm?

And those are the 18x12 +20 wheels right?

Do you have a rear 3/4 shot?

Traction is in the compound and longitudinal portion of the contact patch.
Wide tires are for going around corners and gripping.

I have 275/40/17 Nitto NT05s--not exactly a slouch of a tire and probably the most aggressive compound I can run in a climate that runs down to 35 degrees at night and sees rain frequently.

Even in the dry and in a straight line, as soon as my powerband starts my car will spin 275s in 2nd gear like they were bicycle tires. That's why I want a larger contact patch: it is a function of what compounds are available for a daily driven car that have some grip.

Can't help you bro.

I used to live in Hazel Dell and 6 months out of the year nothing is gonna help you except for pro efi traction control.

I run nt01's daily, but can't recommend them in the wet.

Just a quick question... What would be an ideal offset to run a 275/40r17 on a 17x9? I'm sure it's in here somewhere, but I thought it would be quicker to just ask instead of reading 94 pages of posts. Thanks in advance

Edit: this is for an s13

I have a set of 17x9.75 +25 wheels, and i plan on running 245/45.

i'd like to have no camber on all 4's. My question is- what do i need to do to get it to fit up front? I want to keep stock body, no flares, widebody, nothing.

any pics?

On an s13 you may need smaller tire or a bit of neg camber and rolled fenders. S14 should be an easier.

you need 245/40 on a 17" wheel. I had 255/40 on my 17x10J before and it was good IMO. 45 series is too tall on 245+

For my s14 I'm looking for a wheel and tire combination. I'm thinking of going with a 17x9. I plan to roll the fenders, but I do not want to pull them and I do not want to run much camber either, the less, the better. Going for a nice semi flush look against the car, no poking, or gay stretched tire. I love the look of Spool_sample's zenki, I think its perfect, but I would like to have mine just a little lower. I have stance coils with stance rucas. Up front I also have z32 brakes. What would be a good setup ? 17x9 + lower or higher offset? Same size tire ? 245/40/17? Hoping one of guys could help me out!

Notes: EASY fit for an S14. Mild roll in both front and rear and -2.5 camber F and -2.0 R. Car isn't slammed, but it could be with more fender work and camber. Plenty of inboard space for more tire.

You want slightly higher offsets. +25 in the front is about max on 9" wheels. That same offset will work great in the rear. You can easily get 255's all around as well. A 245 has a slight stretch to it on 9".

Wrong thread... You want the small questions thread and 225/245 is not a max tire setup.

KA

Hey guys, I currently run Toyo Extensa HP 235/45/17 all around on 17x9.75 +17 front , +25 rear ( i needed a 8mm spacer to clear coils in front) and im looking to get alot of grip in rear when i decide to get new tires. im currently at -4 camber in rear and -2 in front.

I recently decided i wanted to start autocrossing and going to the track and i wanted to know whats a good set-up and even if those wheel measurements are even good for autocross/track.

thanks alot,
Tim.
