Hey wassup I've busted a shock on my 240 so it's time to upgrade and drop So I just ordered a set of Tanabe lowering springs from Enjuku & I'm debating on whether to get the Tokico blues or the KYB AGX adj. shox. I think i can find them both for a good price, but i was just wanting some input on which u think is better. The AGX's are adjustable and i don't think the Tokico blues' are. I have heard that the Tokico's r better but i think i can get the AGX's for a better price and they are also adjustable. Thanks in advance.

I am happy enough with my Tokicos. Matches well with my Tokico springs (1" drop, ~50% stiffer). Excellent ride. Little play, still comfortable enough. I mainly went with these rather than AGX for the price, I got them shipped for ~$300. Zero complaints!
What is the spring rate on the Tanabe springs? I really wouldn't recommend Tokicos for anything stiffer or lower than the Tokico springs. 1" the damping is damn near perfect. Much more and you'll be underdamped, which makes for a bouncy ride, and something other people point and laugh at

Get the KYB AGX. The Tokico Blues and KYB GR-2's were both designed as a replacement for the OEM shocks while the KYB AGX were designed as a performance shock (meaning that it can handle the stiffer spring rates and is able to still hold up while the car has been lowered without blowing out). Get the AGX and you will be very happy with them.

Thanks again guys I'm goin to go with the AGX's cause i looked at the Tokico Illumina adj. and they are way expspensive, and i really want adj. shox. A weird thing though is i found a company that had the AGX's on sale for cheap but they didn't have the S14 year models listed just the S13's. So i called them just thinking it was probably a typo and they said that they didn't make the AGX's for a 96 240SX. They even supposedly called KYB and asked them if they carried the application for my car and KYB said they didn't make AGX's for a 96 240. Although, several of you all with S14's have said they were good so I guess you are getting them somewhere. I'm goin to go check out tire rack, Thanks again guys.
P.S. The company that told me they didn't have the shox was Coximport just in case you were thinking of doin business w/ them in the near future.

AGX's get my vote, i had them with the RSR spings, and they were good! i had them for about a year and a half before upgrading to coils, but they get the job done nicely
