Ok, I just have to get something off of my chest.  I don't understand why it is so many people in their posts call street racing "illegal" street racing.  I mean, it's obvious that if you are racing on the streets, it is illegal.  It's like they want to sound badass and put an emphasis on just how illegal it is.  We all know what street racing is guys, you don't have to try and glorify it, if you think that adding the "illegal" tag in front of it will do such a thing.

I guess my point in posting this was to just say for future reference, just call it street racing, the fact that's it's illegal just comes with the territory.

Sorry for the rant, and the off-topic post.  I'm sure this will get shut down fast.

I think the Illegal tag came from the Civic/Teg crowd...... because those non functional wings on FWD cars really piss me off.... i know that made no sense but one thing I have to get off MY chest is how people can be impressed by a Integra or Civic with 30 sitickers, euro tails, $300 paint job, Kazoo Muffler and slow 1/4 mile time... like really if that impresses you.... i got something to show you spring '03....
can anyone tell me why they are impressed with rice rockets? that are "done up"

I would agree. Fresh 240 brings up another thing that pisses  me off. Everyown pushs shit off on the honda crowd which is crap. I know a decent amount of people that have really nice civics that deserve credit. This people put in a lot of wrench time and it shows. NOW we all know there are a millions civics out there with exhaust tips and chopped spings so just ignore them but that doesnt mean you should give props to people that nice hondas cause there are some out there.,

well the only reason i bring it up is because a guy at my school printed out a pic of a teg with the typical Honda/Acura crap aftermarket parts that i listed in my other message... and they all crowered around and were like thats a slick ride.... this certian group was the kind that changes what there into when it becomes popular then acts like they were down all along and like they know what there talking about... almost like poseing.... but worse..... anyways they asked me if i thought it was nice and i circled everything that was wrong with it and they gave me some crap like oh nothings good enough for you, like can i not have good taste and not be impresses by every other car with the standard rims, bodykit and cheap paint and parts?

damn the fast and the furious to hell.... it made out cars (not specificly the 240 but imports) a pop fad sorta.... atleast where i live it is.... and it ruined everything.... i cant stand it.... everyone with there $10 subscription to Car Ads Made To Look Like A Magazine...... i mean  superstreet

Hahaha, actually, I have neither.  Only recently have I found ANY time on my hands, it's nice, it will go away soon.  I don't have a bad temper either, I'm a very calm person usually.  It's just stuff like that that tends to piss me off though.  

I mean, it goes with the whole "Yo homie what's up?  I'm a rich white kid, but I'm ghetto yo, cause I listen to gangsta rap and wear my pants down at my ankles, with one of the pant legs up yo!" thing (imagine that all being said in one breath).

It's like, I did some "illegal street racing today."  Why not just say, I went street racing, or better yet, when my friends and I talk about it, the convo usually goes like this:

"So are you going to Metro tonight?"

"No, I don't feel like heading out to the races tonight."

"Ok, that's cool."

Sorry, but to me, emphasizing the fact that street races are illegal, is attempting to make yourself sound a hell of a lot more hard core than you are.  Bleh, like I said, I did not want to start an argument over this, so I probably won't post back if this all starts flaming up.
