My choise is the FC. it handles really good, got decent power even NA.
KA S13 drifts good, but it dies at higher RPM. Corolla needs more power, parts are hard to find. |

If you ask around the rotary community they'll say that the FC sucks for drifting ^_^
My pic would be a S13 coupe... engine doesnt really matter...

I have both S14MC and a RPS13.
Personally I think the S13 is a little more nimble. The S14 is great also, so this is a hard choice

Bald tires really AREN'T the best for drifting. Why do you think they used slicks at the drags and at NASCAR? TRACTION! Bald tires are only really good for drifting if the track is wet. The reason many drifters use bald tires is that most are broke and cant afford to buy the tires that they go through os a good day. Jr goes through 10 - 12 tires a day at the track. The don't start out bald and they usually are never really smooth as the track tears them up pretty bad rather than wearing them smooth. The best tires are generally just bad enough that you wouldn't buy them for dailly driving but good enough that they are safe. He spends a ton of time at the base auto hobby shop and gets peoples thrown pout tires there. Otherwise he would rarely drift as tire are too fricking big of an expense otherwise.

i say S12 w/ the VG30E. what a hot little car!! haha the engine is silky-smooth for an old school V6, and its got plenty of torque throughout the whole useable rev range. it has similar weight to the S13 but with more standard HP and plenty of torque on tap, it breaks loose at little more easily. it just doesnt have as sophisticated a suspension (esp. in the rear) as an S13/14.

talking to a lot of people at drift events and a few professional drifters i would rank it like this:
FD (hate to admit it) s15 (more solid than s13/14) 350z (a bit heavy) s14 (more solid than s13 not as good as s15. ask "society mike" from FA) s13 FC (good car but it wants to grip. needs extensive suspension work. i know a few guys who drifted them and have since moved on. my little brother has one. he agrees) 86 (yeah, it's light, but needs WAY more power and a butt load of suspension parts. nothing special as near as i can figure. an old favorite among the older japanese drivers. popular in the US due to the bandwagon effect) other cars...
