Matt, did the KA MAF bolt right up to the SR intake?
I might be picking up an SR box soon. I also just bought an SR manifold. Dun dun dun....
I used the N60 maf and did not bolt up directly, I dont know if the stock ka one will. Nice hit up Alex to get it welded!

Mine feels really good.
Last week, I unhooked the swirl valve's vacuum hose so the butterflys always stay open and now the boost comes on nice and smooth.
If you ever take your intake mani off again you should go s14 upper, they dont have the butterfly's.

Love the vert, and love your stealthy ka-t setup!

Did you have to do any hammering to the inside of the front fender well due to rubbing? I'm gonna pick me up some 18x10's and I really want to keep factory sheet metal. Trying to get an idea of whats involved. I appreciate any help.

Thanks KrazyS13

Yea I did have to do some hammering to the wells. Lowering it even more when I changed to 35's didn't help. I rub at full lock right at the front of the well, but oh well its all part of the game. I'm like you trying to keep as much factory metal as possible. I only started rubbing at full lock when I switched to 245/35 back when I had 225/40 I wouldn't rub the tubs because I had less camber, the amount of negative camber up front will affect your tire clearance.

Well its good to hear that there weren't any major issues fitting them. I'm definitely preparing to whip out the BFH and go to town with the fender well. I'm not gonna cry if I rub some, like you said thats just part of the game. I am going to try to avoid it as much as possible though. Would you say that the 225/40 or a 225/35 would be a better choice up front to avoid rubbing(or maybe a 235/35-40)? Do you have any pics with it on the 225's?

Thanks for your help Matt, I really appreciate it.

]I would go 225/35 up front I highly doubt you will have any problems with that. Here is a pic of 225/40 up front. This pic was when i had 18x10 +10 front 18x10 +5 rear slightly negative camber in the front.

I dont know what brand my DP is but it was hitting my underbody, I have no idea of DP's variate in size and fitment so I would say to try and use yours and if doesnt work, get it modified to work.

The KA's exhaust ports sit 2" higher than the SR, so most turbo downpipes will hit the body.
I had to get my 3" downpipe modified so I could fit it on my car.

Hey, man.

I'm looking at getting some 17x10 -5 for the front of my coupe and I'm trying to figure out which tire to go with, using willtheyfit.com and your car as a comparison.

My question is, have you run a 235/40 up front with this setup? I want the most tire I can fit in the front for better grip whilst sliding, but I can't be rubbin'.

That site is awesome!
Only tires i have run were 215/45, 225/40, and my current 245/35. Both 215 and 225 had great clearance and would tuck nicely under the fender. I think 225/40 would be your best bet, or 235/40 with more negative camber.

Yeah it is! I just found out about it recently, and just in time to buy new wheels!

I think I'll try 235/40 with more negative camber. I'm maxed out in the front now, but I've been meaning to slot my coilovers for quite some time. Gotta get that wheel straight up and down at full lock.

But yeah, like I said, I want as much tire as I can fit in the front, for the best grip, plus I'll be rocking used tires only in the rear. I don't want to have a gnarly rake when I mount a 245/45 or something huge like that back there.

Here's video of my current setup - In Cars on Vimeo (black coupe). I'm going for a similar look, just with bigger wheels...
