Ya, compared to previous modern OEM Subaru/ Toyota rims they aren?t terrible, but they just had to make them black. |

Sometimes uninspired things are great, maybe moreso in retrospect - but I'm still not going to argue for a lack of inspiration in things they haven't made yet. |

Two swan song cars coming out this year. I think either one would be dope to drive but the Caddy would be the absolute shit.

Here's my guess.
From the Nissan website: Twin Turbo V6, Manual available. Weight probably coming in around 3500LBS similar to 370Z. $28K Base model gets: 300hp, manual/auto, cloth seats, crappy run of the mill wheels. 22/33mpg $37K Touring model gets: 300hp, manual/auto, leather seats, crappy run of the mill wheels. 22/33mpg $49.9K Nismo? model gets: 400hp, manual/auto, leather seats/accents/stitching, carbon something, maybe bigger brakes, a wing or someshit, nicer wheels. 19/28mpg?

glad they dropped the displacement numbering system. wouldve been nice if they went back to 300Z as that is the most widely recognized number for the car.
but yeah... *yaaaaaaaaaaaaawn*. wake me up when Nissan actually remembers it used to make the "everymans sports car" with the S-Chassis. i will say it looks light years better than the bloated and rather unpleasant to look at 370z. and im pretty sure Toyota is pissing their pants right now. the Z is going to walk all over the Supra. though to this day i will say it is funny how the 180sx outsold the 370z like crazy thru both of their 10 years of availability... but here we are in 2021 and no recognition of the s-chassis by nissan ever again. meh... at least Nissan is making something turbo and stick for the US market again that isnt outrageously over priced, or FWD. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand due to European regulations... count on this being the LAST petrol powered Z ever made as its not allowed to be sold in Europe in current times due to their bullshit obsession with 100% electric car sales by 2030 and draconian emission regulations.. |

I hope I am wrong but I feel like this is a car a lot of people are hyped at the idea of but few will actually go plop down the cash for it.

Yeah these are the swan song models of these cars. The market's demand never drove Toyota to release a stick-shift model. The market's demand didn't give Nissan a sense of urgency to refresh the Z any sooner. Back to Toyota though, I'm a little confused as to why they wouldn't put out out a manual version of the Zupra, yet they developed a crazy version of their Yaris, and soon the Corolla.
In other news, the Integra's coming back 2022.

with where everything is heading world wise right now... you may want to work your way out of that debt before heading another $40k into it for a new Z.

The civic type R is already nuts. Curious to see what a new Tegra could do to up the game.

Which sounds like a lot but its direct Japanese auto competitor is the Zupra which is already in the 50's with less power and no manual. What I want to see is how this competes with the pony cars. It is down on power vs both the GT and SS and will be more expensive base model vs base model. Gt specs MSRP: From $36,285 Horsepower: 460 hp Curb weight: 3,705 lbs Torque: 420 lb-ft Camaro 1ss MSRP: $37,500 MPG: 16 city / 24 highway Horsepower: 455 hp @ 6,000 rpm Engine: 6.2 L V8 Curb weight: 3,685 lbs Now the 370z Curb weight: 3,333 to 3,486 lbs So the new Z might be slightly lighter than the pony cars. Im guessing in the 3500 range. Not to mention the pony cars have back seats that are somewhat useable.

hard to say, mk5 supra 3.0 punches above it's weight for 380hp @ 3400 lbs. 12.3 @ 115 and 4.0 or 3.7 w/ 0-60 is very good. Have seen more at HPDE events and they seem capable.
that's very close to the gt350 which was similarly 12.3ish @ 117. In a straight line it would be quicker than the (IMO overpriced) Mach 1. If you can get the camaro ZL1 at discount (saw them for 55k in '19) that might be the best option for bang for the buck. I think the new Z will be good but my guess is it may not have the traction like the mk5 supra to make use of the power. Will look forward to reviews and hope I'm wrong. I get many don't care for the supra for the usual reasons but when looking at stats alone it's a solid choice, although it is definitely not for me. |

I will say I am probably going to buy a Blue Z . My M3 will pay for half the price of the car outright and possibly more the way its going with its value.

i'm more excited for this, than I really am for the Z and I love Nissan..
IDK, I just feel like this will be much more of simple cheap and easy fun than the the bulky looking Z. Still early but all in on this and Emira.

Fuel economy: 19 mpg city, 26 highway, 21 combined (MT) | 20 mpg city, 30 highway, 24 combined (AT) (manufacturer est.) 21 combined MPG for the manual is terrible for the HP lol. The Zupra gets better mileage lol. Even I my old worn out, low-tech KA turbo gets 24-25 mpg. Another reason they should have just turbod the freakin thing. 2.0l turbos get great MPG's while still being able to put down 300hp.. Last edited by spooled240; 08-29-2021 at 10:03 AM.. |

if fuel economy is important and its not your only car, the ND gets somewhere around 29 combined. 34 hwy and 26 city, iirc. performance wise shouldnt be far off from the 86.
