you need pretty much a trans bell housing...ull most likely have to buy the whole thing or pay for the housing...were? pft, import shops, private sales

your gonna need DOHC P/S lines, stock or aftermarket...P/S resevoir, i has no clue on rewiring...if ur sohc is MT, then the trans support will bolt to the trans no issue...thats pretty much it...

its never smart to just install motors, its a good idea to get it on a stand, take off the oil pan, see how things look, new water pump (part number AWP-692 for autozone)
check the seals obviously and any thing that is obviously easily changed while the engine is out...

Can anyone confirm for me if the stock t25 with an A/R .48 from the ca18det engines utilize a normal t25 flange like its cousin the sr20 turbo? I've seen pictures of the turbine and it looks like it does have a normal t25 flange, but I've been searching for days here and elsewhere and just can't seem to definitively answer this question for myself. I know nothing about Nissan engines (I'm a Miata guy looking for a small t25 turbo), so I'm hoping someone can help me out.

Thanks!

Stock CA Turbo is definitely a T2 Flange

I'm searched out for an answer to another question about the stock turbo that came on the ca18det engine: does anyone know or has anyone measured what the inducer/exducer wheel dimensions are for both turbine and compressor? I'd like to compare those dimensions to that of a 2554 or sr20 t25.

this may seem like a noob question and maybe i'm in over my head with the Ca.
had a ka for a while, and picked up a ca18det for extremly cheap, good compression, brand new HG and it ran great for a week. a little trouble on start up, cold starts seem to be a common issue as i read so i looked over it.

when i did the motor swap, a brand new starter and batter were used, more CCA's (cold crank amps) and the starter for obvious reasons, after a week, i have gotten no spark and have changed anything that has possibly come to mind. (as listed) 2 CAS, 3 ignitors, 2 ECU's, coilpacks, coilpack harness, and coolant temp. that's all that comes to mind at the moment, and it's early for me, so my mind's not really in it's sharpest form right now.

the harness is being checked again (by krappy on here) just to make sure none of the wires fouled out or burnt out.

besides all that was listed, does anyone know what the problem could be? i'm getting no fire from the coilpacks.
